Carter would have been nice but we have more length and more time with Claxton. Just stating the positives.
We need to get someone to start tweeting TeShaun and tell him we need him to be a dawg.

DO NOT TWEET HIGH SCHOOL KIDS
Posted on 1/9/17 at 10:20 pm to dawg4lyfe
While I don't tweet high school kids because, well I don't have a twitter account, kids these days eat that shite up. It's really not as weird to them as it is to us because they see random people tweeting them as a status symbol. They aren't old fogies like you and I.
Carry on.
Carry on.

No, they don't.
Sure they live on social media, but they don't really go nuts for old guys they've never met tweeting at them all the time.
I think it was just recently like within the past few weeks 247 asked all the guys at the Army AA bowl about their favorite and least favorite fanbases and the least favorite was voted to be UT, mainly because of their fans on social media. Trust me, JimBob in soperton tweeting a "Go dawwgggsss!!!!" at a recruit isn't going to do a single thing to help us.

Yes they do. They walk around all day bragging about how many people tweet at them and how often they get retweeted etc. It's social media. That's what it is for. You just don't understand because it's not a part of your generation. It's okay to be out of touch with teenagers, these millennials are a weird breed.
Of course, there is a difference between sending a tweet and harassing the kids.
Also, that poll was 9 kids that voted for UT....and it was in regards to fans tweeting at kids who don't pick their school

I'm not saying creep on them but you think Denagelo Gibbs doesn't think it's cool when someone tweets him a picture of him in a UGA uniform and a caption saying stay home or something.
Someone posted on here stating that we lost a kid because basketball doesn't mean anything. What better platform than social media to let a kid know the fan base cares about the program and they are fired up.

how old do you think I am?

You are obviously not in your 20s or you wouldn't think sending a tweet to a stranger was so weird. If I had to guess, in your early to mid 30s.

correct, which is why I can see that grown adults tweeting at teenagers they dont' know is not helpful.

I can let a teenage fan or an 18-22 year old student at the university slide with tweeting a recruit. Any grown-arse man tweeting at a teenager is mother fricking creepy.

The entire premise of Twitter is to tweet and follow people you do not know. It's really not that weird. You just cannot relate because you did not grow up using social media from the time you could read/write.

I'm 21 and I think it's weird as frick
Posted on 1/10/17 at 10:25 am to dawg4lyfe
Do the people in this thread saying it's weird even have a twitter account? I understand thinking that twitter is weird because I also hold that opinion.
However, the people that use twitter regularly do not see someone they don't know tweeting them as weird. I see it all the time with high school kids. They think it is cool when they get tweets/retweets/followers. I don't know what to tell you except that times are different now.

So you think it's normal for a random old man to follow and tweet a 17 year old boy about going to the school that the old man supports......
You are a fricked up individual and I worry about kids in your neighborhood

Yeah because sending a Go Dawgs! tweet is definitely the same thing as pedophilia.
Do you cheer for those same players on Saturdays? That's fricking weird for a grown man to be so emotionally involved with the performance of a 17 year old kid. You are a fricked up individual and I fear for the kids in your neighborhood.
See how hyperbole works?

The fact you even wrote it out this way is concerning...seriously.
You are even trying to justify your creepy actions of tweeting kids you do not know. This is becoming disturbing and I hope you seek help, quickly.
