Oh no! Are we gonna get this recruit? Of course you are!
Oh no! Are we gonna win this game? Of course you are!
Oh no! Are we gonna win another NC? Of course you are!
Where's the fun in always knowing your gonna succeed???
Still...I wish my hogs had bama's recruiting classess, win record and championship trophies..WPS

I bet the Patriots fans think being a fan of their team is also boring.

I just think back to the mid 2000s and laugh maniacally

Hard life, but someone has to live it. We will see worse days down the road, but that makes the view from the mountain even more enjoyable.

Not at all. it hasn't always been this way. I remember the Bryant years when we were on top, and the short stint back during Stallings.
After that we would have some good years but it was a long long time between eras where we just were not all that good.
And now we are back better than ever and I am just loving the ride.

It's something I disagree with Donald Trump on, I never get tired of winning.

It's funny that you compare Patriots fans to Bama fans.

There are 3 or 4 games every year that I feel are potential losses. Leading up to the game, I thought Arkansas was a potential loss. It was the same with Tennessee. Seeing your team handle somebody that was supposed to be a challenge never gets old. I'm just enjoying it while it lasts.

You should. Live in the moment when it's good. Nostalgia is for the Andy Griffith and Pepperidge Farm squad.

This current season I just decided to really enjoy the games. It's can be a curse expecting your team to win every game..it becomes a relief rather than simple enjoyment if you take it for granted.

the ride will end eventually and we will be just another team like Arkansas or Tennessee. i keed i keed. when I was at Bama we sucked minus 1 season and when I was in grad school we sucked. we could win every game by 40 (and rack up nattys) and I'd be fine with it bc it's never guaranteed and i'm enjoying the ride.
look at USC post Carroll - I'm sure they thought it would never end and look at them now.

I have to admit, that 2007 - 2009 stretch when we were really starting to get some good recruits and seeing more success on the field was a lot of fun. It had been a long time since we had some significant success. Everyone was trolling us constantly about us cheating, Nick Saban lying about leaving the Dolphins, Saban potentially leaving, etc. Nobody believed we would be good.
Every win was gratifying. We went into every game, not expecting to win, but really hoping for the best. And we did. The 2009 Tennessee game was the definition of euphoria. When we made Tebow cry, it was like heaven. And when we won the Rose Bowl, it was just the best, most satisfying feeling I've had in sports in forever.
Since then, every game we've played has been fraught with worry. I hate close games because that means we are being upset instead of being the ones that are upsetting the "better" team. Championships are more of a relief than a celebration.
So, yes. I enjoyed the early success more.
