Alleva should have kept his mouth shut for now. Public posturing will only reduce the chance of getting the game in.

IF the game is played on the 19th, both teams lose a patsy home game. knowing JA, he probably thinks UF gets an extra game?

Why should both teams lose a home game? That doesn't make any sense. UF cancelled their home game after refusing LSU's concessions.

Why should our university and city suffer financially by terminating a home game?

UF had an opportunity due to postpone the game 1-2 days and cause little to none impact on the schedules and financials of LSU, UF and the SEC.

Long and short of it is this, UF didn't want to get their teeth kicked this past weekend and dragged their feet. We have a SEC commissioner that squats to piss who has now realizes that he screwed up.

I think this is the perfect point that all these damn aTm, Bama, and UF experts are missing. LSU cancelled no game...LSU made every concession to get this game in between 10/8 - 10/10.

UF cancelled their home game with LSU yet now LSU is expected to give the World to get it scheduled sometime to appease this "out for yourself" league...give me a break.

At least give me credit!

quote:

-Large buyout to USA
-Loss of millions of dollars in revenue by losing home game
-Ticket holders lose money
-Loss of over ten million to the local economy with the loss of the game
-having to play OM, Bama, Arky, UF and aTm to end the season
-3 straight road games to close the season, the last being on a short week thursday
-we lost the revenue due to a home game being canceled last season

That Thursday game can easily be moved to Saturday.

There was an interesting idea put out there by one of the talking heads. Have USA and Presbyterian play, put it in a good venue, put it on TV and pay both schools a guaranteed amount. Give some of the revenue to charities in LA and FL.

So now A&M fans are going to be put out due to Florida's problem?

I guess this won't stop until Alabama is threatened with being put out.

THAT'S what Alleva was doing by referring to Alabama changing their schedule. Skipping all the bullshite teams and going right to the REC.

Sure it can. UF has strong-armed this entire situation that will now force LSU into further schedule changes of multiple games. Not to mention the financial impact that moving all of these game will have on LSU, aTm and the SEC.

That game should have been played in Baton Rouge yesterday or Saturday. Florida wimping out is not on Alleva. Those entire series of schedule changes was caused by Florida.

What? If you change the game to Saturday soon, everyone will have a full month to make changes. I'm sure few people will care about having the game on Saturday instead of Thursday.

I suppose that is possible but if LSU vs UF is on 11/19 it will be in BR....that came from the mouth of our AD this morning.

Allevia offered to play the game every kind of way it could be offered to play. cOULD HAVE POSTPONED THE GAME TO Saturday EVEINING, Sunday or Monday. Game could have been played in Baton Rouge. Could have been played at a neutral site. Weather was beautifull at all those sites at all those times. Why did Florida refuse to play the game? Why did the SEC commissioner not force the game to be played? Am I in crazy world?

Why the frick should LSU lose money when the game could have been played Saturday, Sunday, or tonight?

LSU absolutely should not bend over. And you wouldn't want your school to either.

Why because we don't want to play 3 SEC road games in 13 days? Who in their right mind would agree to play 3 SEC road games in 13 days when we simply don't have to?

Screw the SEC brotherhood I hope this game doesn't get played.

I say, if Florida thinks it isn't a big deal giving up a home game...then play it on the 19th in Baton Rouge. They can play the '17 and '18 games in Gainesville to make it up.

Alleva was clear we are going to play at home 11/19- I guess UF can pay USA 1.5M so they can be it
