The transfer thing is just all over the place. Was it always this bad? No patience at all with the kids now a days.

Are any West Coast schools still short of their enrollment deadline? I know some are on a quarter system and start later.

Timing is weird. Like he gave up and quit.

Not really a good example to wax curmudgeonly about -- Hurts is a true freshman, right? If he improves, that's a minimum of three years on the bench for Barnett. Guy deserves to go somewhere he'll have a decent shot at starting. From what I saw of him, his arm and aim are both good, though his footwork needs some work.

The SEC powers are littered with great players that are, unfortunately, stuck behind even greater players. It can be brutal and I'd never fault anyone for transferring in those circumstances. They took a shot at competing with the best -- what top-rated person in any field wouldn't? -- and learned their limits. More power to them.

So he should wait 4 years to play? He'd be like a 7th year senior, lol
