Looking ahead to LSU

Can we work on the mistakes made last night during the next two weeks? Will getting Ross into the rotation help? Will the D continue to improve?
What are the chances of us pulling an upset. Before the year started I'd have said not a chance. After they way we played last night, we can't win when we beat ourselves with turnovers and penalties.
But, BUT, if we can tighten up on ball control and penalties, I think we've got a shot at that game.
Anyone know what their passing game looks like? If we can stuff the run like we did against UGA... Do they have weapons that concern you?

What time is the game? If it's a night game in Baton Rouge, then no shot.

Night game and their homecoming I think

We can beat them. They are nothing special and if we go up by a touchdown half their fans will leave anyway.
I don't think we will beat them but we certainly can.

LSUs record in night games at home is pretty awesome. If it's an earlier game time, Mizzou's chances go way up.

I didn't watch their game yesterday, but supposedly their new QB is better than the one who started the year. They had 200+ yds passing last night in their 23-20 win over MSU.
If it's a night game, and their homecoming, it drastically reduces our chances of pulling off a W.

That's fine, but their team is just ok.
And like I said, if we jump out to a lead that stadium is going to empty faster dump truck load of corn dogs.
It was about half empty last night in the second half because they weren't winning by enough points.

Never been there, but I hear their fans tend to leave at half. Probably to return to their tailgates and eat/drink/laissez les bon temps rouler. If we were able to come out and punch them in the mouth the way we started last night? We could take the crowd out of it and our chances go way up. They are an emotional team, and their crowd more so.

I mean, we will probably lose because we play really undisciplined football but LSU is nothing to be afraid of.
If we could somehow play a clean game we have a very good chance of beating them.

We would have a better chance at home. That's one of the toughest places to play in the country. But if the coaching staff can keep them focused and they play clean? We have a shot.

As hard as I have been on our new defensive scheme, we did stop chubb last night. I still wish they were trying to cause more fumbles(0 so far, i think), plus the defense looked bad in the first half. Uga has a better pass offense than lsu. We could stop fornette and if we can stop making bonehead mistakes (penalties and turnovers), we can win.
I doubt that lsu thinks we are a tough game and are looking past us at florida.

The rant thread is funny, but I think I favor Mizzou to win now.

We loaded up the box to stop Chubb and dared Eason to beat us. Which he did.
Fournette is better than Chubb, but he's apparently a little banged up. Etling is not nearly on Eason's level, but LSU has more weapons at WR.
Like you said though. It's more about us playing stupid, erratic football. Staff needs to make better decisions and the players need to stop making dumb mistakes and turning the ball over. We've actually had 3 receivers called for illegal man downfield already this year. 3 different guys that don't know how to line up. That's mind boggling. We can definitely beat LSU if we play clean, but I'll have to see us do that first before I have any confidence that we will.

I wholeheartedly picked Mizzou to beat UGA and we beat LSU. Even though the defense brought th LBs up against Chubb, the DL penetrated from different angles and almost every tackle was a gang tackle, we do the same at LSU. Their DL is not as talented as UGA so our OL should protect Lock.
The only wildcard is BO. Does he have a killer instinct, or is he like Mason or Stoops (Kentucky not OU) where its all talk. I hope the former.

We will use a similar game plan to yesterday's - throw all we have at Fournette and force Etling to beat us with his arm. It was a solid plan last night, and almost worked. Should have worked - the reasons why it didn't have been discussed already.
I'm encouraged by the D play yesterday. If they continue to progress, and Lock and company continue to mature, we have a good shot. The coaches will have their work cut out for them to keep the young team focused and disciplined for a night game at Death Valley.
