Favored by who? I have no idea where you recruiting junkies get your info and don't want to know. The plain fact is they're #43 right now, A&M is #13, and the sips clearly haven't had a huge recruiting bump from their monumental win over ND.

Recruiting rankings right now mean NOTHING. Strong has recruited neck and neck with sumlin while losing more than winning on the field in a lesser conference. The dilemma for us right now is that we don't know that we can land these elite in state guys even if we win and they lose like the past years. Also if they continue to lose that means Charlie is gone and Herman will then walk through the door either there or LSU. Many of these elite recruits like him so we may not land them if that happens either. So in almost no scenario are we favored to land the majority of these guys due to relationships, media narrative, bagmen etc. Which is very annoying bc we have more stability, talent, opportunity and a better coaching staff than both of those programs. Also you'll have a couple of those elite guys go tOSU and Bama each year which also limits the pool of players you have a shot with

So much defeatist horseshite. You and Roger are bitching about things that might happen. I really, really don't get it.

And the outrage that we lose players to Bama and LSU
Guess what, we aren't there yet! But I believe we are closer than we were 5 years ago fighting with tech and osu for scraps

The issue isn't losing players to Bama and LSU. Ots that were a non factor is the recruitment of nearly every top-30 player in Texas for the second year in a row.

This year is far from over, and when our coaches get the talent they need I don't care where they come from.

But we aren't "getting talent from everywhere", we're settling for lower ranked players in Texas. And next year it's going to show up on the field.

Charlie Strong was done the second LSU fired Miles. Texas knows they can't wait for Herman now. 8 wins won't save him anymore.

Recruiting is important but quit worrying about next year. We're having a great time this year.

I agree
That being said, and I think this team is different, the season starts against Tennessee. We haven't done anything this year we haven't don't the last two so far. 5-0 start, beating a (likely) overrated ranked team week one, a couple wins over bad teams and an Arky team that always peaks later in the year.
Auburn may actually be decent, and that road win might end up being more significant in hindsight. Still, everyone expects us to collapse until proven otherwise.

Roger, all we can control is what's within our control. Right now it's winning football games, which we are doing
Now grow some damn balls

So you realized you are making yourself look like a milquetoast fool w/your freak out and are now shifting the reason we are fricked to a coach who isn't even at Texas? Nice.

Honestly, it's like half our fan base literally can't enjoy anything when it comes to our sports teams. Instead of enjoying a win, we have to listen to them bitch and moan about the most minute detail that happened during the game and then whine about how we suck in every sport and how tu is just so much better than us in everything. It's fricking infuriating.

You said my post was false because Texas is looking to fire Charlie, which has nothing to do with my post.
They will have recruiting momentum if they go 8-4 and keep Charlie or go 8-4 and hire Herman. They will have their pick unless we give people a GREAT reason to look our way, like a 10 win season.
Again, you keep trying to make gotcha posts with non-sequiturs.

You act like 8-4 is more likely than 5-7, it's not. Both are equal possibilities for them at this point, most would probably give the edge to 5/7

I didn't enjoy today's game, but would have enjoyed it even less had we lost.
