I think some of the insiders are on saban's confuse-the-media-and-fans-so-they-can't-put-everything-under-a-microscope-staff.

Biggest blindside I've ever heard. I don't get it, Barnett WAS AWFUL sat. How on earth he could be in this discussion is beyond me. Hurts looked world better than him. Read what everyone said, if this is the case then Saban is truly playing based on seniority and you won't convince me otherwise.

So we should just go with who was the best in scrimmages and practice and let that be the hill we die on? If Bateman goes out there and sucks (similar to OM last year) we should put in Barnett. Whoever plays better with the lights on them will eventually end up the starter.

I get where you are going but do you want the guy with 8 turnovers in 2 scrimmages playing in this game, to see if he is a "gamer"?

If anything, this could be a sign of Hurts starting considering Saban probably wouldn't give up the advantage of USC wondering if we'll play a dual-threat.
