If Texas really wanted him, he would be there. Alabama cannot touch UT money....they really can't

Im just curious what you think that Texas could offer that Alabama cant. I mean I think its great that Saban turned down more money because he loves being at Alabama but not sure where you are getting this.

Texas couldn't offer more money. Everybody with money in Alabama would give their saving account and first born to keep Saban there.

If it is a money issue, if Texas wanted to open up the checkbook and price was no object, Alabama could not touch them. Does Alabama own mineral rights in multiple sections of public school lands in west Texas like UT does and can do with it as it wants? Do they have guys like Moncrief and Red McCombs? If it was sheer money and Texas really wanted a money war, they would swamp Alabama. I know the state of Alabama would bankrupt itself for football, but Texas would pay the same amount and be just fine.

However, if I am a fotball coach....Texas is not as attractive as it would seem. At Texas, the boosters own you no matter what you do
