I said "previous thread". I know that gets confusing, because your last 100 posts have been about LSU's qb play. Anyway caterpillar pretty much just nullified your deep analysis of Brandon Harris

Okay well you're concluding that Jefferson is better than Harris because of first year stats in. WEAKER SEC. So can we conclude Harris is better than Dak because Harris had better numbers in a more difficult Sec., despite the fact Dak had an extra redshirt year to prepare?

Or you found the except to the rule.
Lee didn't.
Jefferson didn't.
Jennings didn't.
Only Jefferson fits any of that criteria. Jennings and Lee did not start consecutive years and Lee absolutely was better the next time he started full time (2011). Jennings didn't even start at second year at LSU, so you're just further showing how fricking stupid you are.

I thought he was just trying to be funny at first, but this topic really hits home for him

No he didn't. His argument is extrememly flawed. Mettenberger is the exception to Jefferson, Lee, and Jennings.

Hmmm you compared a black QB to another black QB completely ignoring the successful white QB.

But after they played their first year, they got beat out. That is the definition of not improving to year 2 because the coaching staff decided that the year of experience wasn't enough to start over another guy who had the same thing happen to him a year later.

Do you not see how stupid you sound?
Jennings started 1 year. So that's stupid.
Lee didn't start full time again until 2011 and he was much better.
Jefferson is the only guy in Harris' situation of those 3, and he is in the minority as far as 2nd year performance goes for QBs under Les Miles.

Bored at work. Spend 5 min looking up stats. 3 minutes typing. Entertainment for the rest of the work day.

Because they got beat out after having a year of SEC experience. You're proving my point.

Yours is extremely flawed too, and you're speaking in absolutes. if you can't just watch football and observe that Harris is better than Lee and Jefferson, then I don't know what to tell you. Also it's not like anyone is insinuating Harris will have some heisman campaign. We don't need all-world qb okay to win 10+ games like ole miss

OHhhhh so the empirical eye test is where we are going now. Good logic.

It would probably help...

I appreciate your interest in the LSU QB's

Oddly enough, Jefferson is the only former player listed to have won an SEC Chamionship.
Actually, Jefferson has more Sec Chamionships than any OM quarterback since Archie Manning.

Let's compare the stats of Jordan Jefferson and Brandon Harris in their first full years as starters.
Brandon Harris 2015
2165 yards
53.8 Completion %
13 TD/ 6 Int
130.6 QB Rating
Jordan Jefferson 2009
2166 Yards
61.5 Completion %
17 TD/ 7 INT
137 QB Rating
So lets look at JJ "improvement" in year 2 since they have comparable year one stats.
Jordan Jefferson 2010
1411 Yards
56.5 % Completion
7 TD/ 10 Int
114 QB Rating
Hmmmmm. What conclusions could you draw from this?
Lets look at some other examples of recent QB's in the SEC and their stats from years 1 and 2 as the starter.
Bo Wallace 2012
2994 Yards
63.9 % Completion
22 TD/ 17 Int
142 QB Rating
Bo Wallace 2013
3346 Yards
64.8 Completion %
18 TDs/10 Int
138.1 QBR
Bo Wallace 2014
3194 Yards
60.1 Completion %
22 TDs /14 Int
142.2 QBR
Bo essential was the same QB all 3 years. When his Int went down so did his TDs. Then they both went back up.
Lets Look at Jeff Driskel. The #1 QB in his class.
2012
1646 Yards
63.7 Completion %
12 TDs/ 5 Int
132 QBR
He even had 2 years to get ready for his next full year with meaningful reps.
2014
1140 Yards
53.8 Completion %
12 TDs/ 5 Int
103 QBR
I draw 2 conclusions.
1) Jordan Jefferson was better than Brandon Harris his first year as a starter.
2) It is far from a sure thing that a 2nd year starting QB will show decent growth. There is a lot of evidence to the theory that you are what you are. And that seems to be the case in the Les Miles offensive scheme over the years.
TLDR: Harris sucks. LSU will be above average and be in the same boat at Halloween as last year. 9-3 and can't fire Les.
Thats a lot of work just to say you are worried about LSU this year.
