Most QB that show improvement showed it in spurts in the previous year.
First half of Florida and Mississippi State games. One touchdown vs Bama as he is getting drilled. Those are all spurts my friend. Harris has the ability to improve the question is will he and we won't know that until the season starts.

There is a lot more evidence that he won't solve it than there is that he will.
It is common knowledge by now than Harris was playing those last games with a sports hernia, which has been surgically repaired now. The Florida game "mattered," their defense is stout, and he played very well in that game. I don't think there is near as much to "solve" as many think, and he will surprise this year in a positive way.
As to help, all those returning starters will be improved as most do improve with a year of experience. Not rocket science.

LSU is this years hype team, just let it roll. We will have plenty of off-season to let them have it with Tennessee probably having a good season this year.
You say this as if LSU hasn't been the second most successful team in the conference over the past decade. I know you may not understand regularly expecting a 10 win season, but it is what it is.

Great analysis. Not sure why someone would spend so much of their time on another's team.
I'd be more interested in your thoughts on the anal probe provided to your school by the ncaa.
I assume you will soon have more time on your hands than ever because being a rev fan will be quite uninteresting. Over the next 5 years at least

Amazing how a team that got manhandled by 3 teams in its division the prior year is expected to compete for a national championship.
Auburn wen 3-9, losing 6 games by 17+, in 2012 and played in the national title game the following season

You make some good points. The offensive line was wildly inconsistent last year. There were 3 frosh on the line. Those 3 are now veterans with a full offseason of S&C to go with the year of playing time.
An objective person would expect the line to be more consistent and to play at a higher level when 3/5 are no longer greener than turtle shite.
An objective person would expect a QB to improve in his 2nd year as a starter.
Combine those two factors with the known quantity that are the skill players, all of which return, and an objective person would expect somewhere between a moderate to significant improvement in offensive performance and consistency.
Of course, I realize that this place is not a bastion of rational objective thought.

Harris was the problem, but the defense wasn't playing at an elite level either.
We beat ole miss with a worse offense and a better defense and took bama to OT.
So even if the offense doesn't improve, but the d does, LSU might be OK.

Good point. It will take a kick-6 and prayer at Jordan Hare type lucky season for LSU to make it to the championship. Lucky Les might have it in him.

I'd love to see his advanced stats for 3rd and medium. I bet they aren't good at all.
3rd and 3-7 18-34 52 percent 263 yards 7.74 yards per attempt 2 TD's for a 137.4 rating
That is better than Jake Coker and right on par with Chad Kelly from last year

you said compete for a national title. Auburn still competed for a national title with or without kick six. Unless your definition of "competing" for a national title is making the title game.

I said expected to compete for a national title. Don't think anyone was expecting Auburn to compete for a nation title going into the 2013 season.

LSU also didn't go 3-9 last season

You scored less than 20 points in your last 4 SEC games. That isn't going to win many games. That's why you went 1-3 over that stretch.

he's talking about 2014 and comparing that team to the 2015 team. The defense was better in 2014 and the offense was worse. The 2014 team, with a better defense, beat Ole Miss and took Alabama to OT

I'm just pointing out the obvious to the guy that said the defense was a bigger problem than the offense last year.

All these stats are year 2 and 3.
No, no they are not.
It is first year starting and their grade/age vs. second year starting
Harris is not only youngest or tied for youngest on that list in his first year, but also very similar in stats to the others in their first year starting.
It shows how dramatic the improvement is usually from year 1 to year 2 starting as a QB in the SEC.
Who are the last true sophomore, first year starting QBs to tear up the SEC? Tebow and Manziel? Sorry we don't have a generational Heisman winner at QB.

But the fact that everyone is forgetting is for everyone on that list that improved there are twice that many that didn't.
Let me ask you this. If LF7 gets a high ankle sprain (I hope he doesn't but let's say he does) and misses a month, do you have Confidence that Harris can win games?
