Many people may spurn this opinion, but I truly believe that South Carolina can compete this year. Already, we have two experienced Quarter Backs (Orth and Nunez), and Freshman Brandon McIlwain was a swell recruit. Also, I invite you to recall that they were victorious in their endeavor against North Carolina last season, who ended up being the ACC runner up. I know that many people are at variance with my views, but I conjecture in my meek viewpoint that I am correct.

South Carolina is ranked 100 out of 128 schools so they have a lot of doubters. You never know what will happen. I personally wish them all the best.

USCe is in the best possible position. Nobody expects anything from them. I think they'll win the games there suppose to. Win a couple they weren't. And let a few teams know they were in a fight. 7-5 at best. 5-7 at worst.

Based on your post history, you're giving thesaurus.com half of their daily views.

Welcome back, by the way.

The answer for the future of our program is rather simple when you break it down. Either we go back to complete irrelevancy and our happy years will disappear with Spurrier, or we can rise back up and be somewhat competitive in the East and in College Football in general. I honestly have no idea if we'll ever even get another shot at winning the SEC any time soon (if ever). Just placing in the top half of the East while coming out with decent records consistently would be a blessing right now. I hope most of all that we won't ever turn into nothing more than an easy win for our opponents every year.

The thing is, we don't know what Muschamp is going to do for us. We can make assumptions based off of his past with Florida, but those assumptions don't mean anything. Recruiting at least looks better, but we need to see if this coaching staff can develop players and turn the program into a winning program once again. Look at the best coaches in the history of Football, they've all had shortcomings early on. Muschamp can win, he can breathe life into South Carolina, the bigger question is if he will make us champs in due time (pun intended). I'm not unreasonable though, I don't expect us to do great things immediately..but I do hope as a fan that this whole thing works out for us sometime soon. We go 6-6 this season.
