There's preseason projections that say Mizzou will underwhelm! The sky is blue!

5-7 wouldn't be wonderful, 6-6 and a bowl game against some Big 12 bottom feeder would be a lot better result, but there are much worse seasons to have.

A 5-7 campaign that sees Missouri getting better with each game would be fine, especially after the horrendous bad luck y'all have had this off season.

I think your coach is doing a good job of building a solid team and if the first season has a lot of growing pains then the good news is by the second season you should be a threat in the East to a lot of clubs.

Same old tired arse talking point. Shuttin' people up is getting to be a full time job.

I think the same way. 7-5 or 8-4 would be a good year, but 6-6 looks more reasonable. Our defense is elite even without Brady and Brantley and will keep us in every game. Hell Arky was the only team that really blew us out last season and we still held an offense consistently putting up 50 to 28.

I think we're going to be legit these next two years. This kind of gets lost in the shuffle with all of the stuff we've had this offseason, but we are an extremely young team. We've got one senior on the OL and he just transferred here yesterday. The rest of them are sophomores and freshmen with a junior or two. Giving guys like Paul Adams, Kevin Pendleton, and Sam Bailey 4 years of experience will take our OL from being a joke to a force to be reckoned with.

One bad year, which, when you look at it, wasn't that horrible, does not mean your team will suck for the rest of eternity. People on here have the memories of goldfish.

"You had one bad year, therefore you will always have bad years!"

Well the last time Mizzou had a bad year in the SEC they bounced back to win the East. Missouri will be fine. You might have a rough year this time around with all things considered but Odom is building a team that will probably be a right royal pain in the arse for people to get past in the East.

I am bullish on the WRs with Hill back in control of the room.

The oline still has to give Lock some time but the guys that make Hill's two deep make plays on the ball and block their positions with intensity.

OL will be key. That's my biggest concern for the season. DL will still be good. Maybe not as dominant, but good enough to keep us in some games. Lock will be better.

I'd be pleased with 7-5 this year.

Anything above 7-5, would be a really good first year.

Hell, I'd be OK with 6-6, as long as they play competitive, and show improvement.

Like everyone else here. I agree with it all coming down too, OL, OL, OL,

I liked the Heupel hire, when MIZZOU made it... Like it even more now.

Come out of WVA with a win....... Who knows.

Sept. 3 at West Virginia (L) *

Sept. 10 vs. Eastern Michigan (W)

Sept. 17 vs. Georgia (L) *

Sept. 24 vs. Delaware State (W)

Oct. 1 at LSU (L)

Oct. 15 at Florida (L) *

Oct. 22 vs. Middle Tennessee (W)

Oct. 29 vs. Kentucky (W)

Nov. 5 at South Carolina (W)

Nov. 12 vs. Vanderbilt (W)

Nov. 19 at Tennessee (L) *

Nov. 25 vs. Arkansas (L)

JP 2016 projection: 6-6 (3-5)
SEC Race: 4th in the East

I put an asterisk by games I think we may pull out an upset. I think we have a good chance of beating WVU but that's a tough veteran coach and environment for wiBO to win his first game. We always play close games against Florida and Tennessee. I'm not sure what UGA brings to the table. If the game is any thing like last year and O improves then we have a chance. I think that three game stretch between Oct. 29-Nov. 12 is the most important for BO's inaugural season to be a success. Those are three must win games. I would say that 7-5 or 8-4 isn't out of the question.
