Official Fall Practice Thread: Day 1 Observations

Jovon Robinson was not at practice. Malzahn expected to address later this evening
Former 5* and Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham was seen trailing Malzahn for the first part of practice.
First Team Offense / Defense was as follows:
First team offense
•Receiver: Ryan Davis and Marcus Davis
•Offensive line: Austin Golson, Alex Kozan, Antwuan Jackson Jr., Xavier Dampeer, Braden Smith, Robert Leff
•Quarterback: Jeremy Johnson
•Running back: Kerryon Johnson
•H-Back: Chandler Cox
Second team offense
•Quarterback: Sean White
•Receiver: Jason Smith, Will Hastings, Darius Slayton
•H-Back: Jalen Harris
•Running back: Kamryn Pettway
•Offensive line: Darius James, Tyler Carr, Kaleb Kim, Mike Horton, Deon Mix
Third team offense
•Quarterback: John Franklin III
•Offensive line: First teasers
•Running back: Chandler Cox

He is, as well as part of the 6th offensive linemen listed. I guess Malzahn is trying to revolutionize his offense again?

I'm assuming that's a typo because no other freshman were at this part of practice

I watched Jeff Lee's video a minute ago. Darius Slayton fights passes thrown his way. He doesn't exactly look like a natural receiver.

Many recruited him as a defensive back, FWIW. That's where I wanted him.
