This thread is much less informative overall than I hoped for

I'm not much of a drinker...I'm an IT guy, so here's my IT Tip of the day.
If you use a laptop and keep it plugged in regularly, you will ruin the battery. Instead, remove the battery and place it in your laptop bag and just plug the laptop up to the power cord. You won't ruin your battery and it will still work just fine.

Yea, I was hoping it didnt turn into a "What alcohol do you drink" thread and it did.
Tell us what you know Jones. Surely you know something about something that you can teach us.
We need Pav here to teach us about international travel. Dude is all over the world every week. I was a little jealous of him until we sit down and had a drink one day at lunch. Check my sig line for the reason

See, here we go
My issue. I use a Mac Book and I can not remove the battery. I have to just keep it plugged it when I use it at home. Any options there.

I don't have much experience with Mac's so my initial answer is, "you might be shite out of luck" however...I then stumbled upon this answer:
quote:
There’s one problem with running your MacBook with the battery removed. MacBooks and MacBook Pros automatically reduce the processor speed by about half when the battery is removed.
which means I'd probably advise against the tip I posted

Agree
I do not use my Macbook as much with the battery as I do plunged in. It is about three years old now and I just have not seen a lot of issues with it on the battery. I guess if I used if more on battery power I would see that.
Great tip.

That shite is smooth. Drank like half a bottle on a camping trip this past winter like an a-hole. Should have slow sipped but damn that is some smooth whiskey.

I know if you give a lady enough tequilla.....cheap or expensive. It doesn't matter..........the panties are liable to drop. She becomes not much of a lady.

I'm a bourbon guy as well and these two are my favorites thus far...couple of cubes of ice and about a two finger pour equals quality! If you are into cigars, these two pair very well with med-full flavored sticks.

If you're a business owner wanting to implement a retirement plan that maximizes how much you can give to yourself and minimizes how much you have to give to your employees, you probably want a cross-tested hybrid 401K/cash balance plan.

I will give these a try, I drink my bourbon with 3 cubes of ice and a 3 finger pour. Another good bourbon is Buffalo Trace it's a little on the sweet side though.

people that drink to get shitfaced are alcoholics
so you think people get to the point that they actually enjoy the taste of a flammable substance by NOT drinking more than they should?

So by using your analogy, people who enjoy the taste of food have eating disorders
Makes sense.....
Do you know anything else you can share with us that will help us?

Here's a basic one for yak fishing. If you're fishing offshore with braid, always use at least ten feet of mono or fluoro top shot. Obviously in clear water it helps with line shy pelagics, but more importantly it keeps you from getting cut to the bone by the braid when the fish is yak side.
