I've always thought Pat Dye was overrated

Dooley is overrated at times by our fans imo.

Vince Dooley's legend is Herschel Walker's biggest achievement.

Shug Jordan won 1 SEC title in 25 years and averaged going 7-3
Pat Dye was not overrated at all. I think the argument could be made he was underrated. He had a couple of teams that easily could have won national titles if the odds had been in their favor nationally.

Bryant is a legend for his time in Tuscaloosa
Bryant never played Neyland as coach at Alabama
Nobody cares what happened at Kentucky.

Sly Croom.
The man deserves no recognition. He was horrible and bitter and just an all around bad person, but most SEC fans liked him.

I was just about to say that. He did have 7 seasons with 10 or more wins, but that was over 24 years. Stoops is kind of the modern day equivalent of Dooley (except that Stoops is a dick).
to you for admitting it.

Nicely done.

Pat Dye only looked legendary to Auburn because his solid results were a hell of a lot better than Auburn's historically shitty results.

Several times, but never at Alabama.

Bear could take his and beat yours and then take yours and beat his. Even Saban can't do that and no one with a lick of sense will say Saban is overrated so there we are.

Sabin owes his life to Denardos recruiting classes and ESPN hyping him through the years !
