Gary Johnson isn't conservative on most issues.

That's because he's libertarian on most issues. Could be because he's a Libertarian and not a Republican.

Gary Johnson is much more conservative than Trump. Gary Johnson does not agree with Republicans on most issues is a more accurate statement. Republican does not equal conservative

In my mind, he's the most conservative of all. True, he's not like Republicans, but Republicans are not conservative in any way, shape, or form.

Republicans are big government loons.

But instead of the tax-and-spend (or cash and carry) model of the Democrats, they're tax-cut-and-spend. And they're just as socialist as the Democrats. But instead of dolling out money to less fortunate Americans, they're funneling money into some other guy's pocket in some other country. Which is worse, because it's taking money out of US circulation. Their nation-building has had catastrophic repercussions on the solvency of this nation. Their World Police mantra of "spreading democracy and freedom" to people who don't want it has been an utter failure.

If you're going to conserve the tenets on which this nation was founded, then you have to support things like private property rights, privacy rights, the freedom to choose, and the right to pursue happiness. Well, Republicans (and Democrats) don't like that if your happiness offends them or runs counter to their agenda. And both are for kicking you off your land if they want it, and will support spying on you and invading your privacy if they so choose.

Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the same coin, and neither are conservative.

That's right. I know conservatives don't like pot smokers, but there is nothing fiscally conservative about putting millions of them in prison. This country has wasted trillions of dollars on the drug war since Nixon, yet millions of so-called "fiscal conservatives" support the failed policy anyway. It's why I roll my eyes every time a conservative starts talking about small government. Conservatives are every bit as authoritarian as liberals, they just disagree on which issues the government should ignore the concept of liberty.
