Miami player suspended amid investigation into luxury car LINK
quote:
Miami linebacker Juwon Young has been suspended indefinitely and his status for this season is in jeopardy after his reported use of a luxury vehicle from a car agency.
As outlined by the Miami Herald, it’s not known if Young paid for the car:
The matter, according to a source, involved Young gaining use of a luxury vehicle from a car agency. It’s unclear if Young paid for the vehicle or if he intends to.
UM also is investigating whether standout defensive end Al Quadin Muhammad was involved with this car agency and whether he committed an NCAA violation.
Young’s status appears to be a major question at this point. The Herald reported that some inside the program don’t expect Young, who had 57 tackles in 10 games last season, to be back while another source told the newspaper that it’s possible Young returns but in bad standing.
Of course, Miami is no stranger to off-the-field issues. A three-year probation period for a lack of institutional control involving the actions of former booster Nevin Shapiro is set to expire on Oct. 21. Major scholarship reductions for football and men’s basketball were put in place.
This latest development will be interesting to follow for Mark Richt’s new program.

Perception is reality. When I was reading the thread, I saw UM and investigation and wondered where the hell did Ole Miss get this Al Quadio Muhammed?

You can take the Richt out of Georgia, but you can't take the Miami out of Miami.
or something like that.

Good for Richt. With all the dirt surrounding the Miami program he can't afford to let it slide and let corrupt practices take root.

This has nothing to do with the SEC.
