So basically your argument is against baseball in general? Because guess what, if he gets to the majors his first real contract will dwarf anything anyone in the NFL gets.
FACT. And guaranteed money.

Also, no fear of dying in 25 years due to head injuries from your playing days.

I'll watch the MLB World Series if the Red Sox or Yankees are playing at home and would watch if the Cubs made it. Even then, it's a turn the game on in the 7th inning kind of deal. If it's a close game, I'll keep it on and if it's not, I can go to sleep.

Key word IF. IF he gets to the majors. An NFL first rounder IS in the majors.

If you're denying it's the 3rd most popular sport in the SEC, I don't know what to tell you.
You do realize that on average about twice as many people attended South Carolina Women's Basketball Games than Baseball games...right?
Average USCe Women's Home Basketball Attendance - 14,364
Average USCe Baseball Home Attendance - 7,100

College baseball is the backup plan when you don't get picked to be in the stepping stone, to the next stepping stone, to the next stepping stone, to the MLB. It is literally 4 tiers below making a MLB roster.
Well draft results seem to indicate otherwise. And like I said, it is a FACT that they get drafted out of college and make tons of money. You have no clue what you are talking about.

And you don't even get a full scholarship for it
Ok, so now you are talking about some players, why didn't you qualify your comments above as well?

But don't equate it with football and basketball when trying to compare athletic success and prestige on a national level.
Yeah, we know Bama fan, football is the only thing that matters to you. Funny how that works out.

Again, is this an argument against the way baseball economics work?
If you are a first round pick in football you get a great guaranteed contract. Past that, almost nothing is guaranteed unless you are a top 10% player. Everything is practice to practice, paycheck to paycheck.

So basically what ONE first round football pick makes.

Signing bonus, not contract value. Keep up.

LOL @ the Vo11's for losing 20 in a row to it's two biggest rivals. In the most important sport.

Great, so since you don't care for the sport, nobody else does.
In that case, LOL at grapefruit being a big time citrus fruit.

I enjoy watching college baseball. But it's not a big anything.
The division 1 college baseball programs average a loss of $700,000 per year
College football and basketball bring in an average of $3 mil , even for smaller programs.
Tv ratings may not tell much, but when you sport loses money every year ; that does!

Go ahead. No one will argue that UCLA is better than us in basketball.
