Newb to the new consoles. Used to play halo 5 a good bit. About the only game on either I would want to play that's exclusive. What say ye?

I have both and use my Xbox more often. PS4 has slightly better graphics but I think the XB1 is the better console.

PS4 has slightly better graphics and performance but the difference really isn't that important unless you're a tech nerd.

Look up the exclusives for each console and get the one that has the games that appeal to you.

Graphics are nearly a wash. The area which makes the PS4 the better performer is in load times if you upgrade to a SSD.

Pick a console on controller preference and the exclusives you are most interested in.

Including titles announced to come out in 2016, XBox One has 47 console exclusives. PS4 has 151 console exclusives.

If your level of gaming is the latest FPS and Madden, XBox is where it's at. If you want a little more diversified gaming, PS is where it's at. That said, if FPS is your thing, I can't justify to you spending $300 on a machine to play it if you already have a perfectly good PC with KB/M controls. Halo's a solid shooter, but it's not worth that kind of spread.

If you're set to get a console, wait until the new upgraded XBox and PlayStations come out.

Graphics are almost interchangeable, but the one plus with the xbone is that it has backwards compatibility.

PS4. IMO

I have both with dual screens side by side and the graphics edge goes to PS4.

Own both and I'll sell you my Xbox with Halo 5, Gears and Kinnect.

PS4 has better specs. More games run in native 1080P. If you're like me and cannot stand the look of upscaled 720p and 900p, this is a huge difference maker.

If not, the consoles aren't that much different. Most third party titles will run smoother on PS4, but there are a handful that run better on Xbox One due to running at a lower resolution (like Dragon Age Inquisition) or just for no apparent reason (Assassin's Creed Unity).

PS4 is more powerful, but it's not a huge difference.

Whatever decision you make, I'd wait until the upgraded version of each console comes out. Slim version of Xbox 1 already shown.
