I see Cohen is taking a page from Mullen's playbook.
Should teams like Texas Tech and State still get a national seed when they go 1-2 in their conference tournament, over teams with similar RPI, and a better record that win 4-5 games?

That's what I heard your fans muttering after getting mercy ruled last night

We won the SEC outright and are a national seed lock. Do you seriously think you can rustle state fans after going 12-2 in the past month and a half?

TCU went 2nQ last year and still got one. You're putting way too much stock in a tournament the committee doesn't usually do.
State, like A&M, went 9-1 in conference series this year. We both have had the national seed locked.

State won the SEC. They have a lock on their seed.

I completely expected us to get swept out of this tournament. I just couldn't see us, or anyone for that matter, sweeping the last three series of the regular season, then sweeping through the most difficult conference in the country loaded with top 5 teams.

Low expectations for Omaha I guess? Because, you know, that's how these tournaments work. You pretty much have to win out.

Typically teams don't "win out" from April 24th all the way through June.

Finally make it to Omaha and you become an expert on how this shite works I see.

My landmass is fine thanks. Buried it in my favorite little valley just last night.

You can lose 4 games from regionals to the CWS finals and still be crowned champs.

Exactly. It's not about being perfect. It's about being good enough. You can lose up to 4, but you can never lose two out of any three.

This is what an Ole Miss fan starts as a thread when the Ncaa is breathing down their neck in other sports.

State should just accept the fact that they didn't play Florida or SC in regular season from the east and are a scheduled champ not a real one.
