Pine lake is a good church from what I know...not my particular preference for style of worship, but good nevertheless.

I can't think of many churches that are bad. I mean, short of advocating jihad, how bad can a church be?

But their worship style was 180 degrees from what I prefer. The rock band jamming on stage with the people in a big warehouse waving their arms in the air swaying back and forth. It's literally a rock concert. But I get the feeling that the whole thing focuses on the man on stage, more than the man upstairs.

And there is just way too many people. The place is like a factory. 3 different shifts of people just rotate in and out. It's unbelievable. You feel like a number in the crowd.

But to each their own.

How bad can a church be?
Depends on your definition of bad. Here in Northwest Arkansas we have a few of those chain type churches. Where a guy requires the members of his congregation to show their W2s so he can make sure that they are tithing their 10% to the church. All the while he lives in THE most posh neighborhood in the area, disowns his own daughter after being raped because she "dressed like a whore" and routinely guilt-trips people in the congregation into giving more to the offering plate by talking about homosexuality (knowing some of the people there are gay).

World class scum if you ask me, and I'm sure Freeze attends a similar church.

I believe it's different things to different people. I was never a member, but I used to attend there regularly back when they were in the old place by the reservoir. When they moved out to HWY 25, I went for some time, but it definitely took on a different feel to it for me personally. It was just too big, I wasn't a fan of the music style you referenced (the last Sunday I attended they had a kids choir on stage singing and doing some sort of back street boy kind of dance on stage), and a bunch of the people would act like they'd just met a celebrity if they got to say hi to the main pastor. I'm sure it's a great church doing good things for a lot of people, but it wasn't for me.
