Congrats. I came very close to getting mine from JA.

Glad you went with a diamond. First time your fiance would take it to get cleaned, the jeweler would have informed her it was a CZ (to protect their company from being accused of swapping). Sounds like you got a good one

As for insurance, I think it's worth it. Less than $3 a month gives you the peace of mind that if it falls down the drain or the ring is scuffed or the setting fails, you don't have to pay anything to get it repaired or replaced. But that's just me...I'm a worrier.

My Mom gave Hubby my great-grandmother's engagement ring to give to me. Anyone who thinks it's too small can kiss my arse. I love it.

He says I'm the best bargain he ever got because I came with my own ring!

Thanks! Really glad you told me about those online jewelry sites. So much better than stores where you get over excited saleswomen talking to you and staring at you while you're trying to think about what you want. Made the process much more bearable.
