A conclusion from this data is that these laws that are being passed or considered around the country are a solution looking for a problem.

Or for the 1-2 minutes it takes to go into the bathroom and do your business, you could go to the bathroom of your actual identity, do your business and leave. Wouldn't that work?

I'll assume that by actual identity you're implying that which is indicated by one's sexual organs.

Why wouldn't it work? Because you have to consider that people with GID who are in the process of transsexualism are living full-time as the gender with which they identify, not the one they were born with.

They are not transvestites or drag queens/kings. Many of us have probably shared a bathroom with someone who has GID without knowing it. They are under hormone therapy that make male features more feminine or female more masculine.

I personally don't understand why this issue is popping up so strongly. To date there have been no problems with GID people using the bathrooms of their choice.

I suppose the problem arose because of the increasingly young age that some GID people are coming out. The issue seems to be in schools where students go from using one bathroom to using the one that best fits their gender identification.

But attention whoring by whom? Many would say it's the sleazy politicians who are so stridently against the issue rather than those who are seeking inclusivity.

I want to use the same bathroom that the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders use, because I identify as a man who likes to look at women's vaginas.

Who are YOU to tell me I can't, I was born this way, you hateful dickface.

To me, if you have dude parts, you are a dude. Girl parts, you're a girl. Someone with dude parts isn't getting to play on the high school girl's basketball team and shower with them cause he says he isn't attracted to girls.

Git it time dude.. This country is truly going to hell in a handbasket.. According to liberals and SJW this thing below is an example of us progressing as a society:

I don't know of a hormone treatment for that. Maybe you can claim to be a lesbian trapped in a man's body?

Well, you'll be added to a Title IX lawsuit if you do it in Knoxville.

I'll just not go to Target, which isn't much of a sacrifice.

I've never seen the attraction of a place that sells the same crap as Wal-Mart but charges more than Wal-Mart and is filled with people convinced that by paying higher prices for the same cheap Chinese crap that they're somehow better than people that simply go to Wal-Mart.

Just like with other mental illness issues, we should be treating this for what it is.

Where does it stop? As V&S mentions, and I know in a joking manner, are we going to let anyone identify themselves as anything and somehow society has to accept it and we don't address the actual issue. It then causes it to magnify, and you have people making claims because it gets them attention.

That's Target in a nutshell. I also hate the layout in most stores. The great thing about Wal-Mart, I can go into pretty much any of their stores and walk directly to the item I need.

This is consistently the issue brought up but what was stopping a sexual predator from doing this before?

What's really going to stop a criminal from breaking into your house?

We should decriminalize breaking and entering.

That's not really the same thing and you know it. People are kinda assuming all Trannys are predators no?

It goes along the lines of locked doors on your home. They don't stop a burglary, but they are a safeguard. Should we just not lock our doors because a robber can just get in anyway? If your neighbor sees someone with a crowbar trying to enter your home, it raises suspicion; if he just walks right through the unlocked front door - not so much. When the safeguard of gender defined bathrooms goes away, there will be no suspicion and it will end badly. Straight guys everywhere will abuse the law, and women and children will be hurt in the process. There's an expectation of privacy that will most certainly be abused by perverts everywhere.

It's a perfectly comparable analogy.

Maybe not everyone that breaks into a house is a burglar, but does that mean they're not a potential threat?

And keep in mind, this law is not just to allow transsexuals into whichever bathroom they choose - it's to allow transgenders into whichever bathroom they choose.

Theoretically, if I feel like I should be a woman, I am now allowed by Target store policy to go into a woman's restroom.

It's an actual thing, not that I'd expect you to understand. It's way easier to pass it off as some pervert or pedophile right?

With that being said, I don't think this is the right way to go. I'm not sure how they're going to keep check of this. Sucks since there are people dealing with identity issues
