On his first 5 yard acceleration:
"Derrick Henry had the fastest time of any player in any position that we've tested in the last 3 drafts."
Over 20 yards:
"Henry didn't just finish with the fastest time for running backs this year... over 20 yards, he actually had the best time of any offensive player we analyzed in this draft, and he couples that with a bigger frame than the average NFL Linebacker."
When running through 1,500lbs of Heavy Bags:
"27% faster than any RB we've tested in the last 4 drafts."
1.397 seconds - Derrick Henry
1.915 seconds - Carlos Hyde
1.980 seconds - Kenjon Barner
"When he gets into the open field, he can build up the same momentum as a wrecking ball swinging at about 5mph."

Dude is a total freak of nature.

Henry deserved the Heisman. Only people that hate Alabama would say otherwise. His career stats plus the stats they got from ESPN Sports Science are just incredible.

I agree with everything positive said about Henry - but NFL holes are smaller and it takes quicker acceleration to get thru them. Agility at the line of scrimmage is key to an NFL running backs success and LOS agility is Henry's worst asset.

That's not even true.

I don't think anyone has ever questioned his straight-line speed. I thought the big knock on him was a relative lack of lateral agility.

I'm on board util stats tell me otherwise.but you don't have to be an NFL scout to see the weakness.

Derrick Henry had just turned 12 years old the last time Tennessee beat Alabama.
And I had just paid $300 for this bad boy with Cingular Wireless
