Why do people claim the sec west is the tougher divsion?

This. And the East having a 4-11 record against the West in 2014, and I believe 2-15 this past year. Along with the last 6 SEC Champions, things haven't been good for our side of the division.

Ole Miss won the fricking Sugar Bowl this year along with Alabama beating Clemson in the NC. If it wasn't for media bias (at least in the eyes of LSU fans), LSU would've slaughtered OSU and won the 2011 national title. Auburn back in 2010 was led by NFL MVP Cameron Newton and his gang of thugs to win the national championship.
You don't remember the Mississippi #webelieve stuff? Mullen has had MSU more consistent that they could ever dream of years ago. All of this should just be a tribute to how mighty Alabama is as a football team. Alabama has only had just 4 SEC losses in FIVE YEARS.

By the end of last season, Tennessee was the only team in the division worth a shite. UF had lost Grier and blew without him. UGA decided to go through an identity crisis and lost their swag after being beaten by UT and losing Chubb on the first play from scrimmage. Vandy, SC, UK and Mizzou just weren't any good although Vandy and Mizzou both had pretty good defenses.
So we had three teams last year that were worth a shite with two of them falling apart by the end. This year those same three teams will compete but UGA will have a first year HC and questions across the field including QB, UF will have a new QB and some guys to replace, UT will be relatively stable (which is shocking to write).
The West has managed to have their lower teams do better than the lower teams in the East and Bama has of course taken the top spot and that pulls them ahead.

I would love nothing more than for LSU to beat Florida in a really close game like last year so that everyone thinks Alabama beat a really great LSU team that actually sucked.
