I wish Ncaa baseball actually was fair in terms of scholarship . Some teams can give what amounts to a 'scholarship' by offering in state tuition through varied means.
Auburn would still suck but I wouldnt have to listen to people bitch about this excuse

LSU found a sport in college baseball no one cared about in the 1990's. They were getting destroyed in football so they put a disproportionate amount of effort into college baseball compared to other schools so they dominated.
Saban's run is infinitely better because everyone tries at college football. No one tries or cares about college baseball. The end.
Yes, because LSU's CWS appearances in 1986, 1987, 1989 and 1990 just like, magically never happened..
Coincidentally, those 6 years were within the same time frame that:
* LSU went to a Final Four, an Elite Eight, and 5 NCAA Tourneys in Men's Basketball...
* Went 9-3 with an SEC Title in 1986, 10-1-1 and 5th in the final rankings in 1987, Another SEC Title in 1988 in Football.
* Won numerous Men's and Women's Track&Field SEC and National Championships.
"No one tries or cares about college baseball."
Y'all seemed to try or care a lot this past weekend....I think the only other time you tried or cared in baseball was that lopsided loss in the CWS National Championship Game in 1997 against that other team that didn't 'try or care' that day to the tune of 13-6.
My God you're brainwashed......

this was before my time in terms of remembering the exact details but wasn't the regionals/super regionals a little different back then?

Nah he's just a troll and one of those insufferable twat Alabama bandwagon fans in Louisiana that thinks it's trendy to be a dick

This is like Alabama bragging about its gymnastics attendance. No one cares about college baseball and even fewer care about college gymnastics.

Then why did y'all just invest like 40 million to building anew stadium? Sounds like a waste of money on a sport "no one cares about"

Such a solid argument you guys keep using. I don't know how anyone can refute it.

Both are tGOAT in their respective sport, IMO. Equally impressive careers.
Agreed ... both are tGOATs, but one had the benefit of unlimited funds and a long historical tradition to recruit behind while the other basically built something from scratch, for the most part.
I'd give the nod to Skip.
Skip did it using limited/partial scholarships on a very tight budget and through exceptional coaching from a strategic and developmental standpoint ... and with very limited assistance.
Saban's organization is a beast which includes a ton of assistants, support personnel and logistical support that is unparalleled in all of college sports.
I will add, what Skip left, his legacy as well as the buildings ... he was a very good AD and he got a lot of new projects built, and funded, as AD. LSU's facilities are second to none.
Saban will never be an AD.
Skip Bertman is a special person any way you cut it.

Who's run is more impressive? Bretmans in the 1990's or the Junior Varsity Basketball coach in Maryland who won 6 Junior Varsity State Titles in 7 years with 3 undefeated teams?
I will await the spin.

People actually call you stupid? With genius level posts like this?

We should have put that money toward basketball since that is a sport we try at and care about. Alabama doesn't care about winning at baseball or they would cheat like some other schools who have a rigged baseball scholarship system and attempt to hire a coach who could win.

Well clearly your AD disagrees with you. But keep telling us how "no one" cares about college baseball. You definitely have a lot to support your claim...
