Saw the question on the first page, and then skipped here to answer. Have not read the 14 pages in between.
I live in Lubbock, so I am surrounded by Red Raiders.
My life is MUCH better now. I cannot overstate it.
We had a ten year stretch where Mike Leach owned us, and those were dark freaking times for me here. We won the last three, and then left, so I regained my dignity and walked out the door so to speak.
Do NOT miss the horns, and their arrogance. Still root for whoever is playing tu, unless they are playing Baylor. Then I just feel dirty.

Texas A&M should have waited one year to jump to the SEC. I firmly believe they would have went undefeated and played for the national championship in 2012 if they were playing in the Big 12 instead of the SEC.

State Legislature would have blocked the move in 2012. In 2011, it was out of session and in order to justify an emergency session takes a crisis endangering the entire state, which this was not.
