I would pick them over South Carolina

No, 3 sub 200 RPI losses and wins over UCLA/Georgetown don't look as good as they did early in year. USC and ND cooled off as well, even though both are tourney teams but neither make them locks. Right at the edge of the bubble but I expect them to miss it.
I hate it for King Rice (Monmouth HC, former Vandy assistant) would love for him to come back to VU when stallings is done.

I like King Rice. I actually knew of him as a former UNC player when we hired him and enjoyed having him on the sidelines. Haven't really followed his career at Monmouth in the last couple of years but am glad to see he's started turning things around.

They didn't look that good tonight.
Wichita doesn't deserve a bid, but they'll get one bc of past success and bc Van Vleet was out for some games.
Gonzaga doesn't deserve a bid unless they win their tournament either.

UGA,UF and LSU would beat Monmouth by at least 15 points

If UGA, UF, or LSU put their uniforms on Iona's players.

I hope they don't get in just because they're bench annoys me.

Yes. I'd pick Kentucky and A&M, after that they can beat anyone in the SEC.

I think so. They have some pretty darn solid high-major wins. They are at least equal...and when that happens, I'll gladly take the mid-major Cinderella story. They play a good brand of basketball that is exciting, and their bench adds entertainment value to the tournament.
It's a no-brainer to me. They have more P5 wins than usual for a team of their stature....and only 3 bad losses.
I'd also take Wichita St. Over half their losses were from Van Fleet's time out with injury. They are a completely different team with him.
Gonzaga is in their conference tourney final, so we may not have to worry about them.

Short answer....Yes
Long answer...They have quality OOC wins. Wins over UCLA, USC, Notre Dame, and Georgetown. All four of those were away from home.
They're 2-2 against RPI top 50 and 4-4 against RPI top 100 teams.
They're 27-7 overall and went 14-3 in their league.

Don't forget the feel good factor.
The bench antics will get them in on merit alone. If they go on some kind of run, they'll basically be the next Florida Gulf Coast.
NCAA loves that shiz.
