Lorenzo Romar?

I've read some reports where we've made overtures towards him for the Head hoops job. Could be false information, could be a smokescreen, could be a number of things.
If true though, not sure how I'd feel about it. The upside, of course, is that you'd think he'd have a great chance at the Porter brothers. However, his seat is warming at Washington and I'm not sure you make a hire based on a one and done player.
Thoughts?

Depends on what reports where. I've read reports Marshall is coming here. On a bathroom stall. Thoughts?

Ok...

We are going after a coach who hasn't made the tourney in five seasons?
A coach is willing to leave his P5 alma mater to come to Mizzou?

I read that same article. Supposedly puts us in good standing with the Porter family. He recruits very well, so that would help increase wins and put asses in the seats again. He may not be the perfect pickup, but with the program circling the drain, he would be an upgrade even just from a recruiting aspect alone.

I know it's just SLU but was not impressed with him there. Being a godfather of the Pirterkid would be a short term fix. I don't think he's a long term fix

Unless he could guarantee Porter, I don't much care for this. I don't think he's a guy who can build a program at Mizzou. IMO.

Not really as there are 4-5 younger brothers.

He might bring the one that has committed to Washington but Michael is not coming here. Romar also doesn't do that much for me. If we fire KA we need to go all in on a better hire. I am also not convinced that Romar would leave Seattle.

Pass. He is nothing more than an average coach.

Folks will really scream if we fire KA and end up with Romar.

Romar in his first 10 years at Washington was pretty successful. Could be good for him to make a move.

He has won 20+ games in 6 of his 20 years as a head coach. What I remember best is they got progressively worse each year at SLU under his lead. Arguably, the same can be said about UW.
Please no.

That's it? Dang he must be just like Jones at LSU. Knows how to recruit, but not win with those recruits.

People who keep saying this are just butthurt morons. He could very easily come to Mizzou. He is only playing 1 year...he lives in Columbia and has family at Mizzou

Wait until he gets canned, pick him up as an assistant. He would be a better assistant than anyone we have now.
Not saying it would guarantee but it certainly wouldn't hurt our chances for Porter.

Intersting tidbit about him. He was an assistant on the 1995 UCLA team that won it all.
