Yea, it's asinine. Compare Alabama's resume to some of the team's above them and they are the same or better in almost all categories

#8 - St. Mary's
#8 - UConn
#9 - Pitt
#9 - Michigan
#9 - LSU
#10 - VCU
#11 - Syracuse

Just kind of silly. I guess maybe he is using BPI to determine that we will probably lose more, but if this is supposed to be an "as of today" prediction then there is no reason for us to be in that game. At all.

But T Bird told me Bama would not make the tourney and have a better seeding. LULZ.

We were last 4 in before the Florida game, dropped out by tipoff, weren't back in after the win, and back to barely in after LSU

Lunardi never gets the seeds right.

We best Michigan/St Marys/UConn/LSU in Top 50 wins, Top 100 wins, RPI, SOS, wins on the road/neutral, etc. It's just silly.

Lunardi actually uses BPI as a criteria for making his bracket, up until the last one which is the only one he's held accountable for. He and ESPN try to make BPI a thing all year long but it's completely irrelevant, and not even acknowledged by anybody outside of ESPN. But that's why his brackets look screwy up until the end. Obviously a top 30 RPI, top 20 SOS, five top 50 wins, and 7 road/neutral wins already is not a "play-in" type resume.

I don't know if we should be an 8 seed like Palm has us, but our resume definitely isn't worthy of the play in game

Lunardi is such an outlier, who cares what his bracket is?

Can LSU possibly get in without a major push at the end? I understand the Ben Simmons stuff but is it fair to more deserving teams to get pushed out just to show case Ben? Not trolling. I don't know. I haven't had the need to follow the dynamics of NCAA selection in several years.

Our resume compares favorably with everyone included up to about the 8/9 line. Our resume really doesn't have any holes either.

: Top 30 RPI
: Top 15 SOS
: 5-5 vs Top 50 (3 away from home)
: 7-8 vs Top 100 (5 away from home)
: 1 loss vs 100+
: 4 of our 9 losses are to Top 11 RPI teams (3 of them not at home)
: 0 losses vs 125+
: 7-6 road/neutral

That's a dang solid resume for a bottom seed team.

Nope, their RPI is way outside the farthest at-large outliers from the last 20 years.

I'd guess they have to finish
W @ Tennessee
W @ Arkansas
W vs Florida
W vs Missouri
Either W @ KY or make a run to the Final 4/Title game of SECT

At that point I'd assume their RPI might jump up into the Top 60? If so, they'd have a chance. If not, no way.

The "They want Ben Simmons in" is such a stupid talking point at this point. They're 16-10 with more bad losses than decent wins. Dude has the charisma of a penny loafer.

Not like Ben Simmons playing one first round game is going to attract more viewers than the shite-ton that already watch the first weekend anyway.

I was kind of watching the game last night out of one eye but they flashed something up there about their RPI was 71 but their BPI???? was like 41.

BPI takes in to account losses without key players, which LSU had at beginning of season. Thus, their early non-conference losses are not so damaging.

Yeah but to what extent? The non-conference rpi and and sos are both 200+, so how much of pass is given for injured players.
