Apparently 1967. At least we won our bowl game.
Correct, but y'all had 2 regular season losses in '41, while we had 1 in '67. Tell you what, we'll drop '67 if y'all drop '41. But I believe it's written in stone on your campus.

fricking pathetic this is what Tennessee has become, trying to validate their big 6 status

Yeah it's amazing how good you can look when three of your four most common conference opponents are Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Ole Miss

Idk about a natty, but I'd bet my left nut we win at least 1 SEC title in the next 10 years.
you'd have lost your nut from 2005-2014, then.

They are not in. There is no big 6 just a big 3.
Daddy Bama, UF, and LSU.

Alabama is definitely up there. And you've got a 38.8% winning percentage.
You've played Ole Miss in 20 more times than you have Georgia or Florida.
Hell you've played UT-Chatt about as much as Georgia or Florida

I didn't bet it for 05-14. I bet it for 16-25.

We played OM a lot when they were actually good

We don't don't claim 39, and we should.
I mean, what poll were y'all #1 in that year?
I mean, LSU should have been the AP national champion in 1936, if you just go by results. Only team in the regular season that didn't take a loss. Minnesota was voted #1, though, despite a 7-1 regular season. We obviously shouldn't claim that title, still.
Obviously, back then, teams in the south weren't given any credit, especially against northern teams from the Big Ten. Also, we didn't play any black guys, so maybe the voting was justified.

1939 Tennessee got shut out by the only good team they played. Their schedule was garbage.

Was anyone playing black guys in 36 or 39?

I just meant in the early years of the AP poll in general.
But Minnesota had their first african american football player in 1904, so I'm assuming they had black guys on their team in the 1930s.

There is only a Big 2. Bama in football, and UK in basketball. Learn it, live it, love it, accept it.

Wow, really? That's pretty incredible actually.

Yeah, that same guy was also the first black player in what is now the NFL.
They were way ahead of the curve. For the record, I think I read somewhere that Iowa and Minnesota played in like 1917, and Iowa had the only black player in the game.
So it's not like Minnesota had a ton of them

It's the big 10. I bet the average big 10 game not involving OSU or Mich is still pretty steady at that average of about 1 black player per game.
