In recruiting with a solid class even after losing our best recruiting coaches. Welcome to the bulldog family new recruits, I expect y'all will represent us well and bring many wins to this fine university

I mean, I'm not too upset about Mullen's recruiting class, but you are contradicting yourself terribly.

State's class really isn't that bad. Mostly diamonds with a couple of blue-chippers. If anyone can turn that into 8-10 wins, it's Muffin. Plus y'all had almost no attrition outside of the best player in school history and Bear Wilson (who really benefited from not being the only good WR on the roster). If y'all can get the QB position figured out, State won't take any steps back because of this class.

Mullen wins games so not really. But I'm off the fire Howland thing that was just a drunk meltdown of frustration.

My point though is that while our class may not have been the best, it's still solid and we just came off of our best 2 consecutive years since the late 90s. Mullen is probably our best coach in history considering his consistency and how stacked the SEC has been while he has been here. We have had lower ranked recruiting classes and he has won with them...I think our fans are overreacting. Mullen has done a good job evaluating talent..we can't expect to be on par with Bama, LSU, etc. To beat them and win 10+ games takes the stars aligning just right for us every few years.

We should welcome our new recruits and support them and our coach. Mullen isn't perfect, but we can't run him off after all that he does for our program. If he bolts on his own terms then so be it, but as long as he is our coach we should support him until he starts having terrible seasons.

Yeah, I'm not in meltdown over the class. I agree with pretty much everything you posted above. I was more or less just giving you shite for your Howland melt.

Sure would be nice if those wins were against the Bamas/LSUs/A&Ms/OMs of the world.

Wins over Kentucky and Bowling Green just aren't the same.

Well, we've eliminated things like losses to Memphis.

In the interest of full disclosure, I don't really follow recruiting. What high school kids choose to do doesn't really impact me. We'll see how they develop in a few years.

We do need to:
1) keep beating arky, kty, aubie
2) get more wins vs atm/lsu/blackbears
3) not crap the bed vs bama

We win the games we are supposed to win, and that keeps growing, but we need a few more "upsets". I think this will be a great year for that assuming the offensive line is in any way improved from last year.

So much talent. After watching the Sr Bowl, I have a lot more respect for Bama players not playing QB. If they ever get an actual QB, no one will be able to stay on the field with them.

Who did we have committed that went elsewhere as a result of losing our best recruiting coaches?

We better pray that 5* Blake Barnett is a bust because if he's as good as advertised RIP the West.

Highly rated QB's have a pretty high tendency to bust, maybe he falls in that camp.
