Why all the hate toward Ole Miss

I grew up in a family that was 60% MSU and 40% Ole Miss. We always took jabs at each other but even now I still root for MSU when not playing Ole Miss or when it doesn't work in Ole Miss' favor. I've been really surprised at the amount of hate toward Ole Miss recently especially by the bulldogs. I understand wanting to be better and heaven knows Ole Miss went on a really long run of terrible seasons but I would never hope that anyone is cheating.
The facts will come out but I would really like to understand the hatred. It wasn't always this way.

I disliked OM literally before I knew there was MSU. It isn't a rivalry thing for me, personally. OM is like some kind of cheesy college movie fictitious villain .......except it is real.

I'm sure every school has them, but the obnoxious ole miss fan stands out more than any other.

I don't hate Ole Miss, I pity Ole Miss.
A few of my uTexas friends went to "the grove" a few years ago for the Longhorn-Rebel game. They asked me what I thought, but I refrained from comment until they got back from the trip.
All of my friends had nothing but laughter and derision for what they saw and experienced there.

I'm not making a comparison between UTexas tailgating or anyone else. I think the atmosphere at Texas is completely craptastic.
Even their baseball stuff is bad.

Really? I have heard Austin is the business. I want to get my masters there. It would be like a practical Portland for me, in terms moving and getting there.

Sorry, Austin is a great town and there is no state income tax in Texas.
I was referring to the atmosphere at uTexas tailgates etc.
The only problem with Austin right now is the folks from California and New York moving here :(
(and roads are always behind in keeping up with growth).

I have zero hate for MSU. All my hate is reserved for LSU, but dude, as long as MSU has Coach and shotgun bulldog or whatever, y'all will continue to take that trophy. ED posters hate Ole Miss more than they like MSU.
