Who do we target this offseason then?
Sampson has MR ties?
Drew been great at Valpo?
Amaker at Harvard?
Underwood at Stephen F Austin?

And with the roster Mizzou will have what's realistic? 15-18 wins. Whoever the coach is the 2017 class will be very important. Lucky for that coach there will are about 8 top 150 recruits within the region that year.

Amaker would be great, but he has built such a good thing at Harvard that Mizzou would be a step down.

There's also the possibility that the self-imposed sanctions aren't accepted by the NCAA. The possibility of further sanctions may cause some really good candidates to say no to the Mizzou job.

While I agree that's a possibility, it seems unlikely. If anything, our self imposed sanctions seem overly harsh, seeing as the coaches who committed the violations are all gone and are not being punished themselves.

That's why Sampson should be the guy. Soren Petro said: Sampson got into trouble for texting players, which is not a violation now. Look at how MU has went after these guys who are "squeaky clean" and led to sanctions. I think he is right. The time is now to get Sampson if you want him. Ben Jacobson would be my second choice

Josh Pastner from Memphis would be a coach to take under consideration. He is 39 years old and coached under Calipari. He will be able to recruit and he is a good coach.

Bring Pastner in as the associate HC/ recruiter. Kenedy was struggling after year 2 or 3 at A&M, brought in Stansbery. All of a sudden they have a ton of talent.

The Mississippi State fans don't have anything good to say about Stansbury, but I'd certainly be interested in doing some investigation on him if I was an AD.

While that is true now he still broke rules he knew he was breaking. He also thumbed his nose at the NCAA and did it again. And if he can't win at IU with everything they have there how is he going to win at MU. There is a reason he is at Houston and not a Power 5 school. He will break rules again. He broke NCAA rules at OU and IU both. His recruitment of Eric Gordon was also pretty sleazy. With our recent NCAA problems we would be nuts to go after him. He is slimy.
