For the record, I completely disagree with the OP. He is absolutely elite. No one in basketball possesses a skill set like his. I'm not ready to put him up there with great freshmen like Durant, Melo, and Davis just yet.

Me either...he needs to develop a consistent jump shot to rise to their level.

He's a better freshman than Anthony Davis was. Davis didn't score near as much as Ben and grabbed about 8 rebounds a game.

I think a lot of people forget how raw Davis' game was while he was at Kentucky. He couldn't shoot any better than Simmons either. Simmons' game as a freshman is much more refined than Davis' was. He's a better ball handler, better passer, and just has a much higher bball IQ. Davis was a great athlete, rebounder, and shot blocker at Kentucky
