#40 on rivals. 12th in the SEC in 2012
They'd go
7-6 (3-5)
8-5 (3-5)
9-4 (5-3)
10-3 (6-2)
Now a lot of that is thanks to the #8 class the next year, and two top 20 classes behind that. But you've gotta give props to those lowly touted seniors and the coaching staff for competing well in the SEC.

They got good because of CheatGate 13

Freeze has done a great job there. He's set Ole Miss up to compete at a level in the conference that they have not consistently competed at since the Vaught era.

I can't even understand how y'all are pulling in these recruits these days. Y'all are on a roll.

We all know he's a good coach. I mean he's doing this at Ole Miss for christ's sake.

The most consistent thing I have seen about what recruits say about the OM staff and team is that it feels "like family. feels like home." that is the atmosphere Freeze tries to create. I know no other fan bases watch "The Season" but it is Ole Miss's weekly TV show during football season. There was one episode where Freeze talked about how the coaching staff is allowed to have their wife and kids on field during practice, and in fact it is encouraged. The players get to interact with them. I think it is pretty cool

He's an elite recruiter at a hot school with big wins and plenty of playing time.

The money Freeze saved on that class is what allowed them to have that average record

Freeze is a good recruiter. What else can you say? I think any other advantage Ole Miss has can be found at many other SEC programs. Freeze is the difference.

Freeze is a great talent evaluator and talent developer and that is what gets overlooked more than any stars that he has signed. That first class might've been in the 40s but there were several lonely righted players that ended up making all conference or even All-American. That first class might've been in the 40s but there were several lonely righted players that ended up making all conference or even all American Players like Trae Elston Cody core Isaac Gross Mike Hilton Bo Wallace John Youngblood Jalen Walton and Channing ward all contributed a lot to the success although some of them are rated two and three stars. Cody core is actually from Auburn Alabama and did not get any interest from Auburn he had a solid career and did get invited to the NFL combine

The Season is a good show. Ole Mis seems to run a tight program, I can't hate them for tht.
