There's legit reason to think he will walk into the LSU situation and field a top shelf defense despite what anyone tells you.
thats true. on paper that would seem to be the case.
BUT, if aranda goes to a 3-4, who are your three badass DL, especially NG? lsu doesnt have a true, recruited NG...and that is crucial for a 3-4 to work.

If you know anything at all about Aranda then you know he is not going to force a scheme on players who aren't suited to it.
You're grasping at straws here and seem really scared.

Aranda's scheme is based on the personnel. He isn't married to one scheme.
We could come out in a 4-3, 4-2-5, 3-3-5, 3-4, 2-4-6, 1-5-6, 0-4-8, etc. base for all we know at this point.

If we ran a 2 gap 3-4 we would probably be fricked. But we don't need as big a NG in a 1-gap 3-4.

Aranda ran a 4-3 at Wisconsin his first year here, he doesnt have to run his 3-4 1 gap. It's a different 3-4 than Bama's 3-4. It doesnt want gigantic DL to just clog up the middle, it wants agile DL to attack gaps.
But we absolutely could run his 3-4, given a few DE like Key and Bower, move to (rush) OLB.
