To anyone that went to the game... what are your thoughts on the arena? Give me a review.

I like it a lot. Very nice. Easy to get around. It was hot though

This was pretty much my only complaint

It was awesome. Didn't feel like I was at a home Ole Miss basketball game. Looked and felt like a small NBA arena with a student section. Job well done to Ross and the whole athletic department. I think AK has a new energy about him. He grabbed the mic after the game ended thanked everyone and started a Hotty toddy. It was pretty cool.

On tv, it looks a lot bigger than 9500 seats.

From the looks of it it looks like the crowd just smothers the court almost (could be the fisheye affect in that photo) but damn if the team could get rolling I feel like that place could get ROCKING if it's sold out and crowd is into it.

I love the way it's designed. I like 9500 cause honestly we aren't going to fill that up every game and the small size makes the crowd so much louder and stuff. Record crowd for our first home game in the new stadium so thats good. Gave us the energy we have needed for basketball

Take the stadium you imagined in your head now multiply that by 10. It's a palace.
Steak N Shake was on point. Watched the second half while enjoying a cookies and cream milkshake.
Noise was amazing in the second half when we started getting some huge stops. All the concrete in there really amplified the sound. I bet the game Saturday will be even more crowded. I can't wait to go back.

Where is the visitors section in the arena? Hopefully upper deck.

Seems like a dick move laying down to save seats for people. If you want those seats, show up early.

I watched on tv and noticed three things.
1. Much better lighting. No surprise here.
2. The aesthetics of the crowd around the court are so much better now. Looks like an important game.
3. I think the camera angles or distance works out better. Or ESPN sent a better camera. I don't know but it looked better.

If someone laid down in a seat I wanted I'd literally sit on them.

I'm sure somewhere somebody will open a nicer place in the next month or two, but for Ole Miss right now that place looks damn near perfect. Man was it needed.

I'll be there Saturday. Can not wait. Last night's game looked amazing on TV.

There's visitor sections in basketball stadiums?

I think so. I sat in it for the Troy game. Was surrounded by Varnado's family.
