How trashy do you have to be to get worked up about Steak & Shake?

PMAC is a beautiful venue. I don't even hate the exterior. It is not without its issues, primarily that the fans are too far from the court, and that the media people take up a corner of the student section. The place is also a barn, making it incredibly difficult to fill. These factors make it very hard for the atmosphere of the place to feel rowdy or out of control. Many smaller venues feel crazy. The PMAC generally feels about as rowdy as a Rotary Club meeting unless it's mostly full of drunk students, which is generally no more than once or twice per year.

UGAs Stegeman is a dump. I've been my sister in laws graduation there. I think Alton Brown gave the speech. That was better than any UGA basketball highlight.

They put one in Houston a couple years ago, don't really see the big deal.

It's better than the boiled hot dogs that they serve at most arenas.

Definitely seems like it.

Hey, some of us have had luxury suites, real food and all cushioned chairbacks in our arena for literally decades.

This reminds me of the Mississippi poster who posted last year all excited about "TV ON A GAS PUMP!"

Rubes...

I agree. The seating arrangement in the PMAC reminds me of Bryant Denny Stadium; a very shallow seating incline making it very hard for the arena to feel really rowdy.

While Allen Fieldhouse reminds me of Tiger Stadium. Very steep seating incline making the atmosphere absolutely crazy. You're so close to the court.

Really does look great. I wish USC had built a ~12k seat arena when the CLA was built, but I understand why they built a much bigger venue.

What are the plans for the Tad Pad now? Will the women still play there? Or is it slated for renovation/demolition?

It will be demolished and made into a parking lot. Women's basketball is in the Pavilion too.

Well, the premium seat folks had to rough it a bit tonight at the Pavilion. Unfortunately, tonight they had to get by with prime rib with bearnaise sauce and on Saturady they'll have to just suck it up and deal with a rack of lamb with mint jelly (yes, that's the actual menu for the club levels for the first two games).
