Per VQ.

Will be interesting to see if this causes any other turnover on the staff. I think Willie Martinez and Tommy Thigpen could both be out as well as Tennessee re-arranges some titles and positions on staff.

I didn't know Bob Stoops is leaving OU for TN. Wow, what a waste.

For some reason I just imagined "Bob Shoop" as the name of the black version of Bob Stoops who works at Grambling State.

The Nittany Lions' defensive coordinator and safeties coach, Bob Shoop is in his 27th year of collegiate coaching. A native of Oakmont, Pa., Shoop was selected the 247Sports Defensive Coordinator of the Year in 2014 after directing a unit that allowed just 278.7 yards per game, good for No. 2 in FBS and the Nittany Lions’ second-lowest average since 1990. He has coordinated units that have finished in the Top 25 nationally in total defense in each of the last five years.

In all honesty, I want Shoop to be LSU's DC for the last two years. He is just the smartest guy in the room and crazy good with schemes. Would be a fricking slam dunk hire for the Vols.

Shoop is a much better hire than Chavis if this happens.

Jancek D was decent but not championship caliber.

If Shoop is hired Tennessee will be great enough to win the playoffs.

UT still trying to get back at Franklin for the damage he did at VU.

Pretty much anyone is an upgrade over Jancek. Hope the Vols keep Willie Martinez at DB coach.

He's an elite DC.

Good get if they get him. Plus, he's recruited Tennessee A LOT when he was at Vandy.

He's carried Franklin btw.

He had Vandy in top 25 in defense while there and has been great at PSU despite Franklin falling on his face. PSU fans know this very well. Franklin won't last 2 years without Shoop.
