This is not a melt thread so if you feel the need to B**ch take it to that thread.

Now that we know the OC, what are some asst coaches. Surely since Mazzone isn't a splash on the recruiting front, we need to go dirty for a big name recruiter.

Will Mazzone be the QB coach as well, I'd assume so. That leaves OL, RB, WR. Doubt we get a new WR coach. So that leaves two spots?

Since Mazzone is a terrible hire, we'll need to go after the bagman types to get any recruits. Who are the dirtiest quasi-criminal ethically void position coaches we can hire?

Everything I'm hearing is Taylor Mazzone as QB coach and Klemm as OL coach.

A huge red flag for me is when a coordinator doesn't coach a position. Mazzone is another Snyder

Mazzone cut his bones in recruiting early on. I keep telling everyone he's an underrated recruiter.

I think that's why Sumlin likes him. Consistent offense and quality recruiter.

RB coach is a spot where a lot of teams put an ace recruiter. Not sure who is out there that we might want to go after if McKinney is out

I think their RB coach is the bagman type I'm looking for. I may be wrong, but I think he's the one who has been getting all of their TX recruits. Is he coming? He's the one of that whole cast of characters I want.

While Mazzone isn't a splash hire that will get recruits in and of itself, I have read that he is a reliable closer. He doesn't ruin deals or have a weird personality and can be counted on to contribute in the clutch.

So... does Klemm count?

On the strength of a strong national signing day, UCLA turned in the 12th-best recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports' rankings. There's no doubt Klemm was instrumental to that momentum, as Rivals.com points out

Yeah, I would be pretty excited about him.

Their OL coach Klemm is the bagman that beat us for the TX kids

I read some speculation a while back that Banks might get moved to RB coach. Probably depends on how the other hires shake out.

Banks has had bad arse special teams here, so if he does move positions, I hope our ST don't suffer

Good try, but the standard couple people who are ruining this board think so much of themselves that they don't care.

Anyways, has anyone heard who he's likely to retain? All I've seen is who we expected Meacham to change.

YES! That's what I'm talking about! That's the one good thing to come out of this. Go get those 'cruits, Killa Klemm!

Aren't we already full up on assistant coaches? If Mazzone isn't coaching a position we'll have to combine two out of the QB/RB/WR/OL positions, right?

Word is DC and McKinney are gone.

If not, then screw it. Let's just go down in flames.

Right but I'm talking about the positions, not the people. Spav was OC/QBs, but if Mazzone is just OC, and his kid is QBs then we need to combine two offensive positions.

TA speculating Mazzone's son will not be QB coach. Mazzone will coach QBs and his son will be like a quality control guy. Thoughts if true?

I don't think we have room for both Mazzones, unless we cut a defensive coach loose. So that would be a good development.

I swear Alabama has like 15 coaches. They're just given some made-up position.
