With all the raises for the football staff, it only seems prudent to be competitive with Bjork's salary as well.

Couldn't agree more, unfortunately with a new chancellor the bump might not happen for a while.

Once he gets his Big Wheel time around The Circle under 1:00, we'll talk.

Sincerely,

Forgive my ignorance, but I sincerely don't know what Ross has does or has done that make our fans love him so much. Raise money for the pavillion and vaught expansion? Extend coaches? Take part in twitter beefs?

I think a lot of it has to do with the act he followed. It would be like having a beater Mitsubishi Galant as a first car then getting a Honda Accord for graduation. You'd think it was the best car ever made. And that's not a knock on him. Like the Accord, he's solid, dependable, and does what's expected.

I think you answered your own question. His fundraising efforts at Miami, Mizzou, and UCLA were the best lines on his resume when we hired him.

I dont think you realize how big of a deal this is....many of us thought the Tad Pad would never be a thing of the past.

He interacts with the student athletes. my fiance played here a few years ago and spent a summer studying abroad and after ross' first year here when she got back he came up to her and asked "hey mrs doc how was your summer in Spain". We were very impressed he knew her name because they had maybe spoken face to face three times at this point.

Also he interacts with fans. I've sat next to him at baseball games and we talked normally and high five'd and all that good stuff. i know he get's paid to be a fan but he has really fit into that role and seems 100% genuine.

also after that first egg bowl where he let the video dept play the dan mullen "we are never losing to this team again" video. No way Pete would've let that fly. it was awesome. he also put on a football helmet and raised hell in whiskey alley. Guy is the man and i wouldn't want anyone else

Bjork way down the list by comparison. This does need to improve.

Ross Bjork is a big reason why we have been so successful at almost every single sport. He raises money, spends money, has plans to fix facilities and keep them up to date. He has helped put Ole Miss on the map by his interaction and promotion with the media.

Look at the mishandling of staff and decisions made by most of the other ADs around the SEC and you will quickly notice how good Ross is.
