Using bowl games as the sole data pt to determine a league's worth is dumb.....

......but it is pretty hilarious to see the lack of hot takes on the SEC blistering everyone this bowl season and the media favorites, the Pac 12 and Big Ten, finishing right around .500.

Last year bowl season meant everything. This year bowl season means nothing.

The Hurd gave SEC major props

After predicting the west to fall flat again during bowl season, I don't miss him on ESPN.

...because he had no choice. He was the one person straining hardest to shite all over the league and Alabama.

The Turd is still on the air somewhere?

The SEC is 8-2 in bowls winning the following
12-1 win vs 12-1 #3 by 38
8-4 win vs 10-2 #13 by 39
9-3 win vs 10-2 #16 by 28
6-6 win vs 9-3 UR by 21
8-3 win vs 7-5 UR by 29
8-4 win vs 7-5 UR by 23
9-3 win vs 7-5 UR by 7
7-5 win vs 6-6 UR by 22
10-3 loss vs 9-3 #14 by 34
8-4 loss vs 7-5 UR by 6
I mean, that is as complete a domination of opponents as any bowl season I can remember. Against 3 of the 4 best opponents the SEC won by an average of 5 TOUCHDOWNS. THIRTY FIVE FRICKIN POINTS.
But yea ho hum moving on bowl games meh whatever.

Well, that's good at least. Not sure what else he could do after the last month or so, but admitting being wrong is better than most do in that situation, so props to him.

Louisville was 7-5, not 8-4.

It's the most dominant bowl season ever by any conference, yes even including the Pac-12's 5-0 with their myriad of pre-Christmas Sun Bowls and Holiday bowls a few years ago.
Didn't hear Cowherd, but all the other talking heads are avoiding the topic as much as possible after ripping the SEC all season. "One-team league with trash for quarterbacks."

Cowherd is a narcisstic, over opinionated piece of work. But he usually admits when he is wrong.

Listened to him on the way home today. He said before the playoffs that he didn't think Alabama should be in. But he admitted he was way off on Alabama and now thinks they beat Clemson. He just flip-flops, but at least he admitted it.
He did however spend the next half hour talking about how Saban interviewed for the Texas job last season and that Saban doesn't really like Alabama, he's just pretending.
Has to get the jabs in somehow yaknow?

He's smart. Most CFB fans dislike Alabama which means most of his listeners dislike Alabama.

As long as you stay consistent with , your use of bowl games as a determinant it's fine.
It's funny because as you've seen most of the media and other conferences were quick to point it out last year, whil SEC faithful claimed it didn't matter, they were exhibitions. This year it is quickly reversed by both sides.

He goes with the flow. His love for Alabama was far greater when he worked at ESPN, but it seems Fox likes their analysts to push for the ones that play on their network.
