I know a guy who was a former SEAL. He went to the Naval Academy and played football there. The Academy has something like a "pre-SEAL" curriculum where you are mentored by current or former SEALS to prepare you. He was an athlete, in supreme shape, trained for 6 months solid before he entered, and knew exactly what to expect. He still said it was brutal as frick and kicked his arse.

He said what washes out a lot of guys is the next phase which is water/dive training. As a SEAL you have to be comfortable in the water. A lot of guys who could cruise through BUDS fail in the next phase because they can't get comfortable and operate in the water in stressful, dangerous situations. City boys country boys aren't used to it and fricks with their heads.

How old are you?

Do you have prior military service?

Why do you want to go to BUDs?
