Ironic....

The Georgia commitment had an memorable senior season on the gridiron, completing 235 of 338 passes for 3,585 yards, 43 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also led his team to a 12-1 record and an appearance in the state championship game.

Also a U.S. Army All-American and Five-star prospect according to the industry generated 247Sports Composite, Eason made his final choice of Georgia over Florida on Tuesday shortly after he received this honor.

Ironic

3. coincidental; unexpected:

ex..."It was ironic that I was seated next to my ex-husband at the dinner."

i.e... It was ironic that Eason was named "GATOR"ade(named after a UF invention) POTY shortly before he snubbed the gators with his college choice...

That would make sense if he decomitted from UGA first.

He didn't snub the Gators. He simply stuck with his commitment.

My thoughts exactly, college is a lot different than high school. Seems to be a good prospect though.

Driskel actually played pretty well this year but I like Eason's chances.

Actually both sort of got hosed in the systems they were put in. Not sure why Brantley ever signed with UF other than he was a legacy. But the dude was a pure drop back passer and Meyer tried to run him in a spread system.

Driskel was a spread athelete and Muschamp tried to make him a drop back passer.

I have faith the current coach knows what he is doing with his QBs and the type of guy he wants to get. Now if you want to go past "recent" history (I noticed you chose your words carefully), we can always talk about our 3 Heisman winning QBs.

Now let's see how your new coach does. It will be interesting to see. I know you are excited about your new QB. I would be too, but pump the breaks a little WG.

And I still remember you making fun of a Gator poster at the the beginning of the season about playing for Championships or something along those lines, your comment basically was about UGA being in the discussion for one and the Gators would not be playing for anything this year. So you have a history of having a slightly overinflated sense of UGA football's worth IMO.

I'm impressed with Mac & staff & what he's doing down there(as much as I hate to say it). Hope Kirbs can bring the same sorta vibe & culture to Athens, it's what's been missing up here IMO...
