2016 SPRING outlook - Offense

Assuming no further transfer, or retirement attrition (which is a BIG IF), here's what we approach the spring with:
Quarterback - Jake Hubenak (JR), Trevor Knight (SR).
Not sure Knight is good enough to unseat Hubenak right now.
Running Back - Keith Ford (JR), James White (JR), Kendall Bussey (FR), Trayveon Williams (FR).
I think it's assumed that Ford is the starter going into 2016. I'm not convinced that White is the backup. All indications are the Jay Bradford's condition won't allow him to play again. I see Bussey and Williams' impact in the return game.
Wide Receiver/Tight End - Josh Reynolds (SR - returning starter), Christian Kirk (SO - returning starter), Ricky Seals-Jones (JR - returning starter), Speedy Noil (JR - returning starter), Jordan Davis (SO - returning starter if/when we ever use a tight end), Damion Ratley (JR), Jeremy Tabuyo (SR), Edward Pope (SR), Jamal Jeffery (JR), Frank Iheanacho (SO), Kemah Siverand (FR)
I don't see any of the starters losing their jobs. Not sure if/how we will use the tight end, if at all.
Offensive Line - Avery Gennesy (SR - returning starter), Keaton Sutherland (SO - returning starter), Erik McCoy (FR), Connor Lanfear (SO), Koda Martin (SO), Tank Davis (SO), Colton Prater (FR), J.J. Gustafson (JR), London Eluemunor (SR), Trevor Elbert (FR).
Keaton Sutherland lost his job to London Eluemunor in the bowl game and it was pretty clear why watching both play. A lot depends on the new OL coach. Right now, I'd assume the 2-deep is the following (even though I don't think Gennesy deserves to start):
LT - Gennesy/Davis
LG - Eluemunor/Sutherland
C - McCoy/Gustafson
RG - Lanfear/Prater
RT - Martin/Elbert
Quarterback - Jake Hubenak (JR), Trevor Knight (SR).

You probably posted some good shite above, and this is not a knock on you or your efforts....
...but I am so Goddamn worn out with hoping Aggy football does something of note in my lifetime that I can't summon the energy to read what I am sure is a carefully thought-out and worded post. I am simply exhausted with the repeated insanity of the never-ending Aggy football season/offseason recruiting-baring-fruitless-mediocrity, wait-till-next-year cycle.
But, thanks. Keep hoping.

I'm trying to break up the melting for a change.

My only input is on the receivers. Remember back before the season started to suck we were comparing this years receivers and 2012s? I still believe this is one of the most talented group of starting 4 guys A&M has ever had and they are being criminally misused. If we get a decent OC in that can utilize them correctly they absolutely should be a strength of our offense into next year. Of course you got to have someone who is consistent at throwing the ball to them too.....

This is a good step for you brother

With the way that Jay Bradford has recovered plus the uncertainty surrounding Bussey's shoulder injury, I would not be surprised to see Bradford as the backup.
I must have missed something with Bradford. All I ever heard was he wasn't playing this year, and may not ever play again...for some undisclosed reason. I inferred this was some serious illness.
Ought to nickname him Lazarus, if he is, in fact, going to play again.

To me, this unit is they key to our offense next year, beyond who would be playing QB. There is just no telling who will be our starting unit, based on what I saw this year. You have one Freshman there as a backup at LG. There may be more than one Freshman in the 2-deep, disconcerting as that may be.

while I appreciate your effort (seriously I do) there's not much to discuss on this til the staff is reorganized and the recruiting class is finalized - or at least the EEs are in. Let's revisit mid-January

Are you assuming Boyd decommits?
Posted on 12/11/15 at 3:57 pm to Farmer1906
Boyd isn't an EE.
So far, the only EEs are Williams, Prater, and Moton.

You meant spring. Was thinking for next season.

I'm not entirely convinced Bradford is ever going to play for us.

The recruiting thread already had a post showing that he made a full recovery quicker than expected.

Is Jay Bradford viewed as a RB or slot WR? I know he is/was fast and played RB in high school. But I seem to remember he might be tried at WR.

Kirk has that position on lockdown and honestly we need a speed back in the RB position more
White is a similar runner to Carson and while both are quality players we saw the disadvantages of the bell cow approach this year
