you may be stuck with Hubenack.

More rumblings in premium that Kyler is seriously thinking about leaving as well.

Kevin may have seen his last days if that happens.

What a freaking circus!

Bye, don't let the door hit you in the arse is what I'd tell him.

If I'm Kevin Murray, I tell all, causing Fat Kevin to forfeit the buyout.

I have a hard time believing that. If anything Spav & Kyle on their way our should may it easy for Kyler. They can find an OC that fits him and he doesn't have to worry about losing the starting job.

If Kyler leaves I will join the melt.

You never know though. JFF was a three star.

For fun, let's assume that scenario takes place and Murray does in fact transfer, do you guys still want to give sumlin next year to right the ship, or would you rather he be let go immediately and find a new coach now?

I'm all in the fire sumlin now camp, regardless of whether or not Murray transfers too, while fully realizing that's extremely improbable.

Even if this is the end of Sumlin he doesn't get another year just because he deserves it. He gets another year because this is a very shitty time to hire a new coach. We could easily end up with a Dooley-like hire given our lack of options.

Yeah I can understand that, but is it any worse than if we find ourselves this time next year searching for a new coach along with Texas?

For sure it is. Texas is just one program. They will run to Herman if they fire Charlie, which allows us to get the Fuente of 2016. Right now we would be at the tail end of the biggest coaching carousel season in years. That is how programs get Dooleyed.

Plus I want Chad to have another year to give us a reason to hire him.

And I want Herman.

Which is why I want sumlin fired now if we could land him now, because we aren't beating out Texas for Herman if that's who they want.

100% yes

you need to take a step back from the moment

we all knew the odds of one of the QBs transferring was high and now its happened.

looking for a new HC at this point would be nuts b/c the odds of the guy we would really want bailing on his team this late in the game are very low.

lets see how things play out this offseason w/the OC hire.

if its some shot in the dark promotion from w/in (Christensen being the only one I can fathom) the team its time to really be worried that next year will be horrid.

if its guy who has had solid success elsewhere then the sky isnt really falling just yet.

There is something like a 0% chance we fire Sumlin for Herman given the buyout. There is something like a 10% chance he is still on the market when we fire Sumlin (basically my odds of Charlie getting 7 wins).

I personally think Aggies pining for Herman are masochists given these odds. It forces you to root for Texas to get a better OC than us.

I really truly believe Chad is our best shot at a national title in the next five years. My hope is Herman gets a job out of state and out of the SEC West.

Yeah I don't share your optimism in Chad Morris at all.

Kyle and Kyler probably both had to do there due diligence. Kyle Allen probably wanted assurances that he wouldn't have to fight for the job again and that Spavital would stay. Sumlin would have been a dumbass if he promised either, so Allen walked.

Nobody on this board was happy about Allen or Spavital's performance, but it seems as though the people who hate Sumlin are just using this as a convent opportunity to beat their drum.
