after the BLM protests resulted in mass resignations of Mizzou leadership?

Be honest. Don't post crap like "Mizzou is a top 25 - 30 program, there's no reason we can't hire a top 25 coach".

Let's just be honest, folks.

I'll say it now: If I was someone like Mark Richt, and I had offers from Miami, Mizzou, South Carolina, etc. I'd consider all offer except Mizzou simply because of the BLM turmoil. Why would I want to purposefully insert myself into a potential mess when I could just as easily go to another more stable program and get paid the same or more?

Don't mention the money because Mizzou won't pay more than any other P5 program with a coaching vacancy at this time. Money won't be a deciding factor this year.

Be honest, people.

I don't think it's nearly as big a deal as it gets made out to be on message boards.

It's literally not even back page news anymore.

If I'm Richt, Im going to Miami and my alma mater for my last few years because Im really tired of coaching anyway.

If I was an outside coach looking in, having no leadership at the top would be an issue no doubt. Whether the ad could soothe those concerns may be what is going on.

This.

Mizzou not having a permanent school Pres. and Chancellor could be a factor. A new HC would want these two to have his back.

Protest is older stale news, but Mack has to have a good answer in his pocket.

As long as he has a good answer, he's fine.

It's absolutely not that big of a deal. At least on campus. At least for my daughter on campus. The only thing that affected her and her friends was the threat, and that was by a piece of white trash. Otherwise, the BLM were having as big of an impact on a daily basis as the frat guys standing in the same place having to debate whether to fold or crumple the TP. The media got their panties in a wad and that caused message board posters to get their panties in a wad. In the meantime, she'd walk by them daily and not even notice them or remember they were there.

Long way of saying it will have zero impact on a coaching hire. It's pretty much just a way of stirring up shite topic for message boards at this point.

Sure it's not a big deal to you, because you don't want it to be. Look at any of the team forums that we are rumored to be in play for their coach for example

USAFA
North Carolina

That's all these people were bringing up, and although we want to pretend we're not the awkward kid that pissed ourselves, no one else has forgotten. That includes recruits

I don't think we would have gotten a big time hire regardless if that happened or not. I honestly think the coaching search would have played out exactly the way it has. Mizzou is just not a top destination.

BLM not a factor at the level these guys are at. Mizzou is a big time SEC program. Only thing I see is getting someone on a coast to come to Missouri

I don't think the protest has a big impact on the decision of coaches. I think the big name coaches pause at our infrastructure and competitive disadvantages.

Recruiting will be difficult, facilities are lacking, and we have perception issues(fan base that doesn't travel, no conference championships, don't pass the eye test and etc.) which could negatively effect us in the eyes of the playoff committee.

It wasn't even a month ago. Don't think other schools won't use it against us. I think it will hurt us getting a football and basketball coach.

Don't be an idiot. You really think racial issues don't spring up in every SEC school? Last yearthere were issues at OleMiss and Bama. Both coaches spoke out in support of football players. Difference was the school got out ahead of it unlike the Mizzou Pres. Same the with the **** song video at OU. football players got involved, Stoops supported them, he took the same picture with his team, and the university got out in front of the issue. We don't even talk about it now.

Vacancies in administration are probably more of an issue, IMO. But if a coach pauses at the protest BS, they don't have the "chest" to be a HC. Every school has issues. Every position has its challenges. Good coaches work through or around them.
