I don't see the parallel either.

That said, I don't think White is the answer at qb for us. I don't think he is tall enough to have the vision needed over the line to make the downfield throws that don't get batted down. Also, his arm isn't very strong and while he has some mobility, he rarely escapes sacks, can't break a tackle, often has to be rolled out, and isn't a running threat unless there is no one in the vicinity of him.

JJ is wildly inconsistent and crumbles when he is "the man".

IMO, we are fricked at qb with what we have right now.

I kind of disagree here. I thought he looked really good in the Arkansas game, and it is kind of hard to judge him since he got banged up in that game. Give him another year of conditioning and tailoring the playbook and I think he could be a good one.

Sean White has demonstrated solid vision as a RS FR in his downfield reads and I don't remember him having batted balls at an unusually high rate.

I agree and his ability to vertically stretch the field changes what we can do. It is on Gus to adjust to this (argument whether he can). Heck, even Chad Pennington was legit in the NFL and he barely could throw the ball 30 yards.

Very few RS Fr have the pocket presence to sense pressure and break tackles from 250+ LB defensive players. Our OL has been solid but HBacks have been poor in pass protection picking up blitz + long developing plays = dead QB

White could be the answer for us if someone on our O staff can properly design an offense for his skills + keep him healthy. Don't know if we have that someone currently
