I don't think the Mizzou fans on this board realize how badly that strike shite fricked them going forward.
the SJW's in the media can't praise Mizzou enough over that shite... the average coach is generally a dimwit, or in pinkels case, below dimwit level when it comes to politics, maybe they will fall for the media spin and think it's a great thing.

You will not get Tom Herman. It will not happen. Try all you want. Mizzou will not get Tom Herman.

Are the players striking?

Not to mention their state/city isn't a national laughing stock right now so that will undoubtedly help.
Protests heating up at South Carolina right now. Spurrier quit on his team halfway thru the season. Seems to me like South Carolina is trying their best to outdo Mizzou right now.

Well, Pinkel retired over it. I don't believe any real coach is touching that job.

We hired a new AD last year... He hired Kevin Sumlin and Tom Herman when he was at Houston.

Do you realize that Mizzou's current AD is the same guy who hired Tom Herman at Houston? It's well known that our AD is targeting Herman for the Mizzou job...
You sound scared.

So if he goes after Herman instead of Sumlin what will happen?

How is South Carolina more desirable? They have a FAR worse history than Mizzou. They were competitive for 3 years. How is SC a better destination?
A better recruiting base to build on within the state, averaging 80,000+ fans a game (even when they're not very good), and the area is a desirable locations.
And that's not even taking into account not wanting to follow in the footsteps of Pinkel after the way his leave went down as well as the obvious shakeup in your University administration.

Explain to me why any coach with other options would walk into that (off-the-field) dumpster fire?

Herman is ours.

Pinkel still thinks "he did the right thing" yea ikr, he's dumber than a bag full of hammers, but he's retiring because donor support is dropping through the floor right now, that's the real reason, and of course at some level he has to realize what an abject fool he looks like for getting the President fired over a load of crapola.
Either way MU can at least attract a coach as smart as Pinkel.

This can be explained away by saying Pinkel has cancer and had a temporary judgement lapse. Excuse to be used for everything that went wrong for this season.

The biggest issue is finding a coach that can turn 2 stars into 3 stars. Pinkle was great at that.

Mizzou's problem is that they have boxed themselves in and have no choice but to hire a black coach
Good luck with that
Good luck with that

This is not completely true; the assistant coaches are doing this.

Oh shite. Pinkle was just fingering himself the whole time. Weird.

What's Trooper Taylor doing these days?

Mizzou will be the easier team to turn around. We already have a championship caliber defense. We just need him to come in and fix the offense. South Carolina is a dumpster fire all around and they will be finishing 4-8 this year.

That's always been the rumor. Pinkel is into weird fetishes.
